I received a letter from them notifying me of delayed despatch - now due July!
I note that on the website the despatch date is August!!0 -
Just want to update that I have now received the lavender tubers from Thompson & Morgan today. Mail man delivered them as normal post. They are tiny teeny things, so I will buy some pots and compost to plant them in tomorrow. Hope some will survive, as we will be away for 4 days.0

Lavender tubers??I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Yes, they are tiny plants - about 1cm tall !!! I guess they will take 2 or 3 years to grow to a plant about 10cm tall. If I had known, I might not have bothered. I saw ALDI has got more matured plants for sale from tomorrow for £2.49 each - 7 varieties. However, we are going away from Friday, and I don't fancy driving to an ALDI store around London in the next 4 weeks.0 -

really??? even from seed don't they usually flower in the 2nd year?
i've also bought the lavender plugs from thompson and morgan this year, they are small but thats what was expected. my small plugs last year did bloom, but this year they are completely filling beds (5times the size of pot plants sold b&q etc).
i don't get when people knock on mail order garden companies for sending small plug plants when thats what it says they are when you buy them
at least pot them up and grow them on before writing the plants off0 -
Received mine yesterday, potted up last night. Small cuttings, perhaps 2-3cm high, with plenty of roots, so should establish well. Given TLC from me and decent growing conditions (ahem) I reckon that by this time next year they will be decent-sized plants. To get 36 lavender plants for less than £5, well, I think that's a good deal.0

MIne came yesterday too. I thought there were only 36 but when I potted them up, there were more than twice that - some of the plugs contained as many as 5 plantlets. All seemed very healthy.0

Mine arrived today as well
They look very happy and healthy and are sitting in their new compost pots in the greenhouse for growing on ... Lots of little plants per plug but I've left them as is for now as they are easily separated later on if they root well. Lavender 2013, here I come!0
