orange moblie phone

I had two moblie phone on contracts with orange, I cancelled one contract back in april, and kept the same number on pay as you go, I didn't use it as it was no longer needed, and 3 months later they have taken £107 out of my account. Am I entitled to get any money back? They have told me I am not, but they did not bill me monthly so I thought it had ended, they waited 3 months and billed me in a lump sum. Any advice on this matter please?

What is the £107 charge for? I'm guessing it must be early termination as if you have moved the number to PAYG then it cant be monthly payments. If its been taken by direct debit you can ask the bank to reverse the charge provided you believe its not correct.
  • They said it was for the last 3 months, because apparently we are still on contract on that phone

I guess you have your answer then, the contract you agreed to had not come to an end so you were still liable for the remaining months. PAYG is a separate usage so by switching to that it would not have null & voided the reaming months owing.

When it comes to DD's make sure you cancel them with your bank(some you can't it has to be done via the company you signed up to) to avoid any further monies being taken.
