Just recieved NIP for an speeding. It said i was doing 46 mph in a 40mph and was captured by camera. The road i was travelling on had no signs to say there was a mobile camera unit (checked on goggle to see where it happened) .I remeber the area and also my sat nav was on as we were coming from beach and that did not come up as going over the speed.I have never had any convictions for motoring in 15yrs of driving.I currently have a clean licence and do volunterr work as a driver for the red cross.you need clean liecence for this. Ive read you can go on courses so you do not recive the points. .Im 100% sure i was not speeding. If i was so be it .Can somebody give me some advice on what to do.

At that speed you may well be offered a course.

If you can obtain the video from the van, look to see if another vehicle was in line between you and the van.
The equipment manufactures will not guarantee its accuracy of laser reading equipment if the line of sight is not "unobstructed" a moving vehicle between you and the line of sight is not an unobstructed view and the CPS are known not to offer evidence where such cases are presented.
many police forces are trying to increase revenue by extending the range at which they operate and often this involves shooting over the top of other vehicles on inclined surfaces, the makers of all equipment recommended an unobstructed view to avoid reflection from obstructions.
I know of one person who obtained the video and found that 3 moving vehicles were between him and the van at the time, The video also showed the speed readings as totally erratic when presented at court the CPS withdrew and failed to offer any evidence, this is calculated to prevent it reaching the appeal courts where they would have to refund thousands of drivers who "just pay".

There is no requirement to have any warning signs in place.

You can request a copy of any photos to "aid identification of the driver", which may reveal some chance of an issue with the speed measurement , however this is very unlikely. If you do that , you must still name the driver within the 28 days you have been given - failure to do so leads to a much more serious offence (6pts/big fine)

To get access to video or any other evidence will require you to request the matter goes to court and then enter a Not Guilty plea. That route will also mean any chance of a Speed Awareness course or Fixed Penalty (£60/3pts) are long gone.

If you know you were driving the pragmatic approach may be to return the paperwork promptly naming yourself and at the speed alleged you will almost certainly be offered a course (assuming you haven't recently done one).

In 2007 I got an opportunity to visit the police Traffic HQ and view the tape of my alleged offence, even though identification wasn't an issue (and I didn't claim it was).
They even showed me the calibration certificates for the speed gun.

I just wanted to check that the laser wan't pointed at the front grille (If the laser moves slightly between the grill and the radiator, through a space in the grille, the difference in distance over a fraction of a second can give an incorrect reading) or any other technical problem that make the reading inaccurate.

I was still allowed to accept a FPN.

    So it's worth asking.

He can only get the video if he goes not guilty and will therefore lose out on the offer of a course.

If you are that person which apparently exists that is 100% sure they weren't speeding, then plead not guilty

given that the ACPO guideline of '10% plus 3mph' leeway are still in place you will almost certainly be offered a course.

And there is me thinking that you were supposed to comply with speed limits on all roads, not just those with signs indicating you might get nicked.
