Morning all
Not raining here atm but looks as if we'll get some later. Need to get the washing in that I went out and left on the line yesterday afternoon.
Bitsey ((hugs))
JackieO hope you enjoyed your lie in.
Adelight hope those two weeks fly by...
Hope we all get some sun soon.
OH and I had a lovely meal out yesterday evening, not OS but he did have a little back pay...We went to Tampopo in Cabot Circus and had a sharing platter of little bits and then OH had Japanese curry and breaded chicken and I had Nasai Goreng. We were full. Those toilet rolls with bamboo in them were being given out but I declined as I was on my way to the restaurant and didn't have a bag. LOL
The sun has just peeped in my dining room window hello sun!
Well I don't know what's for tea yet-bit late to dive in the freezer so it's probably pasta. There's a smoked sausage in the fridge somewhere, I have an onion and there is some frozen peppers in the freezer and a tin of tomatoes in the cupboard. Sorted!
Hugs and kind thoughts for all who need them.
Have a good day.

Morning all.
Have just looked out of the window and it's dry again atm. It keeps you on the hop, this weather. Seems to change every 10 minutes..
We're off out today. The Rev has an appointment in Newport so I'm going along to hit Poundland, Easyweigh and Sains...ys. Hopefully we'll have a bite to eat in S.......y's and tonight will be whatever I can scratch together from any YSs I can pick up.
Am gradually getting through the ironing by doing 10 minutes here and there but the mountain seems to grow faster than it shrinks. We start the visitor season in a couple of weeks so am frantically trying to catch up on de-cluttering and special bits of cleaning. Did the inside of 3 kitchen cupboard yesterday and will try for another couple today sometime.
BB: What a dismal time you're having. It's difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel sometimes isn't it.
Miffy: Congratulations to your DD. And congratulations to you too. It's not often that the parent's contribution to their childrens' successes is recognised, but you must have been a great support to your DD.
Oh look! It's pouring again.:mad:I believe that friends are quiet angels

Friday 13th, lots of 'about to dig up the road' stuff parked at the end of the road, what can go wrong?
About to head off and really deep clean fridge.

Moorhen- I was like you, I told my friends that I would wait for my daughter to ask to get her ears pierced. She asked for her twelfth birthday. She is now 25 and now has a tattoo on the base of her spine too! Mind you, I couldn't stop her, she was 21 at the time
Nails look lovely now, makes me feel better too!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Sybil there's nowt wrong with Friday 13th.... Mr LW and I got engaged on Friday 13th September 2002.:D
I had my ears pierced for the first time when I was 16 (the rule in our house was I had to pay for it myself, so it had to wait til I started work) and I fainted when it was done. Second piercing was done when I was 42, and didn't cost me a bean as it was done by a friend of Mr LW's.:D Don't worry, the chap is qualified to do tattoos and piercings.;) I'd love to have a tattoo (I have in mind an outline of a wolf) but I'm scared that having it done would trigger a lupus flare.:(If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Morning All
The weather can't make up its mind here so it is on off sun and rain.
Got another half a bowl of strawberries this morning and the blackcurrant and Loganberry bushes have gone mental. Got some cherries on the tree too but the birds have already started pinching them. DD's bough a pepper plant and she has three tiny peppers on there. But I have lost an awful lot, I am another one who's courgettes haven't got going and as for tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers
I have made a white chocolate and strawberry cheesecake (I found some strawberry liqueur and soaked the strawberries in that then put the juice in the cheese and cream mix) I have a trifle to make this afternoon. Both are for the staff barbecue tomorrow, so fingers crossed the weather doesn't put the mockers on it.
Bitsy I am sorry to hear about DH losing his job ((((((((Hugs)))))))) I hope he finds another one soon x

Bitsy & Butterfly - I must have the only fertile courgettes on the AS Daily.....sorry! I've also had several outdoor cucumbers, lots of rasps & mange-tout, just one lot of spuds dug up so far and a few baby beetroot. Oh, and chard. Lots. And lots. Anybody want some chard?!
Bitsy - sorry to read about DH's job, hope he finds something soon.
Miffy - whereabouts was DD's graduation? DH lived in Cardiff for a while in 2009, and we both fell in love with the place.0 -
Hi all,
Heavy rain here :(Never mind it was quite nice yesterday and I managed to get a lot of weeding done in the back garden, some drying on the line(couldnt tell you when the last time was)and the windowcleaner came.I'm still blitzing the house ready for our family get together on Sunday.Going to go to C0stc0 for some bits, but I want to do some baking tomorrow.
I'm washing the kitchen cupboards down with stardr0ps,nearly done that.I think after that I'm nearly done apart from vacuuming and mopping the floors-not much point doing that yet with Leo going in and out of the rain:D I noticed last night he was limping so I dont know what he's done.He sat whining on his bed,so i asked him what was up(he said his paw hurt ,only kidding;))- he got up and limped over to me.I had a good luck round the pads but couldnt see anything.I bet he's seen another dog at the front and jumped down onto the path- he forgets he's getting on now and when you're a heavyweight its not good to jump :(Anyway, gave him some meds and he hardly moved all night and seems a bit better now.
Bitsy-what a sickener-hope something turns up (((hugs)))

I have no problem with Fri 13th, actually, and nothing has happened so far, so fingers crossed. As for my ears pierced - my mother had a massive hissy fit when I had my ears pierced a week before my 18th birthday. She had campaigned against them all my life. She was really disappointed when I didn't go deaf as she had prophesied.
Also it must be lovely when you can remember a proposal. That is so romantic!
So far, so ironing. Off to pick up little bear.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
I've got to laugh.......I had my ears pierced when I was aged 10, no issues with my parents but boy oh boy did I never hear the end of it when I bought my first pair of Dr Martens boots :rotfl: my mum was horrified as in her mind they were what skinheads wore :rotfl:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife
