After years of buying Flymo hovermowers, we finally defected to the wheeled Bosch camp and its absolutely fabulous, or so my OH says. Instead of taking 50 minutes to cut the grass it took just over 30 and that was with going over it twice!
The one we got is a Bosch powerdrive wheeled mover, cost about £100 from Costco0 -
I still miss my handmower that finally died at 57 years old-was originally my grandad's-sadly I couldn't get a replacement handle for it, but it was very quick to use, no plugging in or stepping over cords, never got clogged up with grass like the electric rotary mower we have now.
My lawn before was a reasonable size but I could get it done in half an hour- with beautiful stripes.:DMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Ive got a basic flymo.
It was about 30 quid from argos ( I did go for the argos version which was rubbish, dont bother with that).
We only have a small garden to and this was perfect, although there was no hopper, so you have to rake the cut grass.
For 30 quid you cant go wrong although the blades do tend to fly off if you have a lawn like mine was with loads of stones in it. the blades are about 2 quid for 10 from wilkos but bet you could get them cheaper eslewhere:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I am getting a new lawn mower and wondered if anyone has had any experience of the re-chargeable ones? I am after one with no cables so its a toss up between a petrol one and a re-chargeable one!!
