I also thought they asked permission to put a child on the G&T register, but I don't know because my children aren't G&T.

I don't think thats always the case - I found out by a passing comment from her teacher that my DD was G&T for literacy (no idea if she still is, it hasn't ever been in writing anywhere on her reports etc to me from the school).

Yes, somebody else said they didn't need permission too, so I was wrong sorry :o

Perhaps the reason they ask permission for aimhigher (in high school) is to cover the permission for taking them to universities, etc? There's also some data collection including asking if the parents have a degree.

Hmmm, I think if one of mine was G&T I'd want to know - especially in a subject such as music where they can be encouraged without pressure.

now thats odd Peachy - I got my DD's report this week and I have received sublevels her year 6 SATS results.

Did the sub-levels come from the school or from the external agency?

I think I'll go in on Monday to see if they can shed some light. Not that it matters, but I would just like to know.

I've just looked at the report again - you're right, the sublevels are listed on the teacher's input bit, not the test results.
