    Glad you got the time off :) I was just going to suggest you offering to work an INSET day if they're not in your contract. That's how we do it :)

    Congratulations, you are lucky to have got it all sorted.

    Me and my other half-one of us is a teacher, the other not, so the teacher worked the day before our wedding -travellin the 2 hours to the others home town where we got married, straight to the church for rehersal. The non-teacher havd had to do all the running around/planning/packing etc. Got married on the Sat, spent the sunday packing up, returning hired/borrowed items stuff and driving back to where we live and the non-teacher went back to work monday so we only had the weekend off together-as per usual, wedding or not (it was the start of school holidays) we have waited 4 months for our honeymoon to take the time off together.
    Im pleased it worked out for you. Although our "day" was amazing, it was pretty much business as usual ...until honeymoon, in terms of time together
