Samsung Galaxy S3 18mth deals?

Is it possible to get a decent 18mth contract anywhere?

Best I can find is upgrading through the orange website:-

Panther 36 - 18 months, unlimited texts, 400 anytime minutes, 750mb internet, email, WiFi, plus 2 free Swapables

£36 a month, using 10% Line Rental Discount for 18 months which brings it down to £32.40 but Ill have to pay £49.99 for the phone

so £32.40 x 18 = 583.20 + 49.99 for S3 = £633.19 in total over 18months.

My contract doesnt end until 21/8 but If I was to take up the above offer it would be a new 18mth contract starting today.

Anyone seen any good deals?

This deal is the best I've seen over 18 months. Slightly less minutes and data, but you do get 1GB of BT Openzone as well.
  • Well I just called Orange to see what they could offer me and I got the following:-

    Blue Galaxy S3 free
    £36 a month for 18mths
    400minutes
    1gb internet
    unlimited txts
    keep all my magic numbers
    2 free swapables

So I took up the offer.

Good deal. Post the deal you got in this thread as well, might help others upgrading with Orange.

Hi, I realise that you wanted an 18 month contract however I always look at the total price of the contract.

    Your deal will cost £36 X 18 = £648.

I have found that a lot of the 3rd party retailers have deals that vary every few days so by having a quick check everyday can pay rewards

Three weeks ago mobiles.co.uk had the S3 on a 'similar' mins/texts/data over 24 months ....

    This deal will cost £26 x 24 = £624 and also quidco/mobiles.co.uk cashback of £70 making total £554.

This deal dissappeared after a couple of days but someting similar appeared on buymobilephones.net a few days later.

In both cases the phone was 'free'.

Unless you can get a very good upgrade deal the 3rd party retailers usual beat the networks on price everytime.

I think the deal the OP got was very good for a recently released, top of the range phone on an 18 month contract upgrade direct from a network.

The deal I saw was a bit cheaper but had less minutes, half as much internet and none of the extras you get from Orange.

The deal you posted is very good from a money saving point of view, but some people (myself included) don't like 24 month contracts for obvious reasons.

I agree that third party resellers are usually better, can't remember the last time I got a phone direct from a network.

Just found out I am also able to get a 20% discount on my contract as my wife works for the local council. From what Ive read on the hotukdeals website when purchasing a contract via a reseller the 20% discount is not available.

With that discount, it's an excellent deal, cheaper than buying the phone outright and going sim only for 18 months.

    HI all,

I was looking at getting the panther 31 deal as it looks ok on dialaphone for £28.50 what do you all think worth it?

However i've been trying to find out if Orange include VAT in this price or if this is paid on top. Does anyone know this.

Has it also been confirmed that the staff discount can't be used on third party deals?

    Thanks all in advance.

Unless it's a business contract, VAT will be included.
