I'm thinking of trying the Farrow & Ball paint that you have mentioned. We had our hall/stairs/landing painted maybe a year and a half ago and it's desperate to be done again. So I'm considering giving this paint ago since you recommend it. Our hallway has no windows so natural light is limited so I'm thinking of trying "String" which I'm hoping will give it a nice warm feel.
Thanks for the recommendation!
I checked out the colour that you are using and love it!
Depending upon how we find the paint, we may use it in a couple of other rooms that need to be done in the near/medium future...
Mice - congrats on the trap working! Our cat sometimes brings mice in but doesn't bother to kill them - she seems to like to play.... it's a total nightmare, we only know about it when we see her sprinting around the house chasing something. We then have to go in to mouse rescue mode which sometimes takes days. So far, all mice have been rescued and released at the local allotments!0 -

We have a mouse in my house too, kind of inevitable in the winter. Haven't seen it and not interested in our traps either. What sort of humane ones do you use? OH will only use non-humane ones, and as I have a phobia of the things am not prepared to empty the humane trap myself.
Hi MW
we use the PRC Multicatch Humane Mouse Trap and have had some success with it - particularly when it's baited with peanut butter or Snick£r$ bars :rotfl:
Glad you feel the same about F&B - my conscience is salved.

I'd definately invest in a couple of tester pots and try these out first. The colours can differ quite significantly from the colour chart and guide on the tin. Sometimes the colours can be quite similar - we tried Ball Green and Stone White (also green) and there's almost no difference between them except the Ball Green seemed to reflect light and the Stone White absorb it. Something that reflects the light is much better in a hall I think. We've decorated 2 rooms already with F&B and are very happy with the results.
Should get some colour on the wall tomorrow so very excited :rotfl:

No... not Mr F this time - the weather! 50 mile per hour winds forecast for this evening  Batten down the hatches everyone.
MS today:- a few hours admin work this morning
- a cupboard lunch
- 5 more items listed on Fleabay
- 9 Christmas presents wrapped. I'm going to visit my niece and nephew on Sunday so will be taking their presents with me. They are away for Christmas so I may not get to see them again this year
- tickets arrived for this year's Church Choir Concert - £25 for the two of us. They're doing Haydn's Creation this time
- the Avi0$ wine and activity vouchers arrived
- the delayed Lentil Chilli for supper tonight. Plenty left to have with tortillas later in the week and a portion for the freezer

The hall walls are now green and looking fabulous - really love the colour. Builder won't be finished until Tuesday though. Have to say I've had enough of the dust and disruption already. Thankfully we're out of the house over the weekend.
MS today:- Step class this morning
- a cupboard salad lunch (need to lose a few pounds before the Christmas parties start)
- prepped for a coaching/training session I'm running on Monday. Before I left work I signed up for another coaching qualification. Haven't done much towards it since but I'm determined to get a move on with it now. It cost a lot of money and I don't want that to go to waste. The session on Monday will go towards it and might lead to some paid work later
- bill for the boiler service and repairs came in - £268. £68 more than I'd anticipated, but ...
- found the quote for the decorating and it's £80 less than I was anticipating so balance is restored
- Halloumi, Green Vegetable & Coriander stir fry from the meal plan for dinner tonight.
Hope you have a great weekend
