A productive day yesterday with lots of chores done.
We had tuna wraps for lunch to use up some salad and Kale & Smoky Bacon Pasta for supper to use up the last of the kale from last week's veg box.
I went to gym class for the first time this year and was shocked to find that a) my gym clothes were a little tight and b) the mirror in the studio is distorted as I'm sure I can't be that squat in real life :rotfl: At least I'm starting to remedy that. I managed ok but the torn intercostal muscle is still a little fragile.
Writing group was last night and it was lovely to meet up with everyone. I got good feedback on the piece I had submittedLow spends as just had a coffee.
Driving home was a little scary as there were very thick patches of fog drifting on and off the lanes - just like Scooby Doo! I had to drive very slowly in places as you couldn't see ahead more than a few feet. Got home safe and sound in the end.
Looks foggy out there this morning too so take care if you're out and about.

Spent yesterday catching up on some chores. We seemed to have a glut of bananas, all of which were rapidly sulking, so I made two of the sugar free banana cakes. This time I didn't use the milk and added some pecans for texture and sweetness and I think it improved the results. We had some for breakfast
The on-line shopping arrived. Over budget this time as we are entertaining at the weekend but the extra will come off the fun money.
Lunch was Red Lentil, Chickpea & Chilli Soup with some garlic bread from the freezer. Supper was Swede, Squash & Bean Goulash so lots of veg box contents utilised. Feeling very healthy on the diet side at the moment :A Lets see how the weekend goes though
Mr F is still working from home at homeLovely to have company but I could do with a little time to myself now for writing and painting
I'm off to the hairdresser this afternoon so that will give me a break. I'm such a bad wife :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Take care

Time for yourself
these days when I'm off work my husband expects me to be with him. So he works nights and sleeps the morning, the afternoons are 'his' , then he's back to bed 5-8pm... just as my friends would be with their families. I know I could do something else really, but we've got quite comfy in each others company.

Everyone has their own way of managing things - Mr F and I have a very [STRIKE]old fashioned[/STRIKE] traditional way of life now. I've gone from city career girl to 1950's housewife :rotfl:

Sorry to neglect you all. There has been a lot happening in the Fortunate household and we have come to a decision at last...
We are moving :eek::j
As you can see, I don't know whether to be excited or terrified. We are hoping it will be our last move so want to get it right.
So all efforts are now on saving for costs and minimising the amount we may need to borrowProgess so far:
- Estate Agents have been round to value the house. They think it's worth a little more than we expected but I think it's about right. I'm not so sure about their assessment of the market though - it usually takes a very long time to sell in our area as we are quite rural. Their costs are reasonable and below the national average so I'm happy with those
- Given family and friends the heads up
- Received conveyancing quote which I need to look at a bit more closely
- Booked appointment with mortgage advisor. We have a great deal with our current provider so I'm going to see what they can do first
- De-cluttering has started - £45 made from FB sites already :T
It looks like we should be able to get enough together to meet all the costs of moving which I find incredible. It's a scary amount of money but this site has taught me that it's amazing what you can do with a bit of discipline so we're going to go for it.
We are looking for something rural in Herefordshire or Shropshire so I would love to hear any advice from peeps in those counties.
Excited :j
Terrified

Wow! How exciting! I don't have any advice on those areas but they are both lovely
May it be swift and none stressful
I made your swede, BNS goulash you posted the other day. Was very lovely, thanks for sharing.0
