You are so talented.
Its a horrible feeling when the money disappears isnt it?
I dont like it at all! Comfort Zone please!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Just been looking at Bee Garden art on Folksy
Some lovely detailed art.
But my particular favourites are Boat on the Beach and Beach Huts.
I love things relating to boats, the sea and nautical things in general.
Really enjoyable to look at:)Early retired - 18th December 2014

Your paintings are fantastic Fortune. Wish I had that sort of talent. Do you mind me asking how much a painting costs as we have a few photos that I think would be amazing as paintings.

My latest guests have now left, the house is pretty much back in order and I have a little time to just sit and think. Phew.
I haven't been posting as regularly and I have really missed it. This month's house budget is already spent and, although I don't think I've been particularly extravagant, I can't say where it's all gone off the top of my head. Usually I can account for every purchase and every penny.

That para re not posting regularly and the way it means that expenses etc go a little awry..I can really identify with that. Me too FS!
Just catching up. Glad all is Ok

I think boats and the sea are very relaxing, calming images. I've done 4 boats now, 2 of which were commissions so they are proving popular. Well as normal as it ever gets in the Fortunate household :rotfl:
So back on the wagon:- dieting has started in earnest  I was away with friends at the weekend and the bedroom mirror was extremely unflattering but at least it has has spurred me into action. So a visit to Nutrach£ck for some calorie control
- 3 loads of washing dried on the line yesterday and it's looking promising for a couple of loads today too
- started a new painting of a water lily pond. It's a subject I've tried before but I was experimenting with glazing at the time. Having got a perfect match on the pink of the lily, I glazed it which completely changed the colour and ruined it
I'll know better this time. I've nearly finished the preliminary sketch so will post it on Bee Garden Art on FB later
- did the weekly shop - should be nearly £50 under budget :T Mr F is away most of next week and we had lots left over from last week
- made a Vegetarian Casserole from the meal plan for supper. Served with some left over tortillas. Some of the reviews said it was a bit bland so I use hot smoked paprika and it was full of flavour
- went to Dynamic Yoga which was hard after two weeks off. Mr F came too just to try it out. He did surprisingly well.
Happy Hump Day all

Mr F came home from a business trip with a stinking cold
There's something very wrong about having a cold in the Summer - it's just not right. Hoping I don't get it, it's a stinker. At least he's home this week and I can look after him.
My refocus continues:- a trip into town with the girls yesterday. Picked up Mr F's new glasses and some cold medicine but no non-essential spending on stuff. A Thai lunch - £13.00 which will come out of my personal spending
- bought tickets for tonight's Comedy Night at the Rugby Club. We've been to one of these before and had a great time. It's only £10 for the 2 tickets and I've offered to drive so should be a cheap night out. Spends will come from this month's fun money
- leftover Vegetarian Casserole with Rice for supper. There's enough left over to whizz up for soup for today's lunch as well
- up to date on the ironing now
- sent out the agenda for my last meeting with the admin job
I'm sure the morning would be better spent watering the garden and painting my Water Lily.
Enjoy the sunshine all

Am sure Step would be far too hot and sweaty (not necessarily you, of course - but everyone else!) - painting with a cool drink close to hand sounds a far better option!
