  • DC and I had a lovely night out with the neighbours:
    • Beer Battered Cod & Chips, Banoffee Pie and a Diet Coke plus tip - £25
    • one bottle of Prosecco contributed to drinks after
    • no hangover on Sunday :T
    • DC and I went blackberrying on Sunday (it rained on Saturday after all). 500g :) each
    • baked Blackberry & Almond squares with some of the haul and froze the rest
    • leftover Chilli for supper when Mr F got home
    • Cinnamon Bagels with cream cheese and berries for breakfast this morning
    • listed 2 more items on Fleabay - one of my items is at £44 :j I think I might be able to cover all of my recent art spends at this rate :)
    • had to relist all of my ACEOs. I'd included a link to F0lk$y in the description not realising that this was against the rules and Fleabay blocked any viewers :(. That was £1.05 wasted. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ACEO-Original-Watercolour-Black-Bryony-Gaynor-Hill-Wild-Flowers-Botanical-/290974050475?pt=UK_art_Paintings_GL&hash=item43bf67a8ab Posted my previous one which had sold though
Lots of things on the job list today including going to Step and not eating any cake  We have a wedding to go to weekend after next and, at this rate, I won't be able to fit into my outfit.

Hope you all have a good week

Thanks Cal. I thought the herbs would look good in a kitchen and I wanted to try a more modern style. I was very pleased with the way the Bouquet Garni turned out but I'm not sure I'll be doing another one - curly parsley must be the hardest thing in the world to draw!

That's exactly what I was thinking, a lovely herb picture in the kitchen...

And now you point it out, ouch, curly parsley sounds impossible! Flat leaf parsley is the way to go ;)

ETA: You know what I really love too? I love the cursive names at the bottom, so beautifully done, and really enhances it.

Thank you Cal. It's so lovely to get feedback and know that things appeal to someone other than me! By the way, if you ever see something you just can't resist, I do discounts for my MS friends ;) Just saying...

  • It has been grey and drizzly here all day but I've sort of enjoyed it (I know - weird huh?) It felt really good getting home this morning cold and wet then jumping into a scalding hot shower. And lovely feeling all warm and cosy inside whilst the rain blew against the windows. I'm sure this novelty will lose it's attraction by.... oh... tomorrow :rotfl:

    MS:
    • Step class this morning
    • popped into the market town after to drop a bag into the charity shop and pick up some white gouache paint which I need for my boat painting. Sadly the shop didn't have any in so I ordered on-line when I got home - £5.49 to pay as I had a little in my PayPa1 account towards it
    • filled the truck up with fuel - £60.01 but that should last me a couple of months
    • reconciled the bank accounts - all balance :)
    • did a little more work on boat painting No 1. It's coming along nicely
    • ironing this afternoon whilst catching up on some TV
    • Prawn, Runner Bean & Sweetcorn Pasta from the meal plan for supper tonight (made with Coriander Pesto - Yum). Finished off the last of the Rhubarb & Pear Crumble too - couldn't waste it could we :rotfl:
It seems I've lost my monthly office day with the admin job. I called today to fix the September date to be told that one of the current part-timers has been asked to work an extra day a week so they won't be needing me anymore. I knew the extra day was temporary but thought someone should have called me to let me know. The joys of a 0 hours contract.

Hope you all had a good start to the week

I'm actually debating over asking OH to buy me the bouquet garni for my birthday and the new kitchen I wish I had... :o
  • Morning Fortune, sorry to hear abut the admin work. People behave so peculiarly at times. It would have taken a few minutes to write, call or email. I'm sure with your new arty adventures you wouldn't have had time to support them anyway :T

I'll PM you regarding the ladybirds :)

    Best wishes

Thanks Tilly. It's a question of manners really - although I will miss the £50 each month too :rotfl:

No hurry about the ladybirds - I'll keep them reserved for you for however long you need.
