Olympic themed cake ideas ?

Work is organising a fun (half) day - to raise our spirits & funds for charity.
As part of this, each team has to bake an Olympic-themed cake. We've thought of the 5-ringed cake idea, but would like something a bit different & more unusual.
Any ideas ?!

Square cakes stacked into a 1st/2nd/3rd podium? Olympic torch shaped?
These are quite a quirky idea!

Cupcakes made into medals?£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0

What about flags or country colours, sports etc, we did a project with year 5 kids decorating cupcakes with butter icing and we bought some edible (ricepaper) discs printed with food colouring from ebay. we also bought some plain rice paper and food colouring pens so they could design their own.
Medals made from roll out icing and allowed to harden.
2012 logo cut out of roll out icing - print a template onto cardboard and using a new craft knife draw around the logo, again allow to harden slightly before putting on cake as it will make it easier to move them around.
Olympic torches
thick glace icing piped on in the shapes of stick men doing sport
can't think of anything else at the moment. Hope this helpsFibro-Warrior0 -

^^ is this in the wrong thread?
Maybe bake 5 thin sponge cakes with food colouring to make them the colour of the rings, then ice with white icing and draw the rings in the top? The surprise comes when it's cut...

^^ is this in the wrong thread?May I suggest that you go to the GP and get signed off before the meeting - thereby forcing your bosses hand and, hopefully, getting the problems with the bonus etc in writing. You may find this invaluable.

If you use the rings or the 2012 logo, just make sure that the Olympic committee don't see it or you'll be in trouble!0

Running track. You could easily make hurdles to go on it.
