I know soft cheese is out for pregnancy but does it include the processed dairylee and phili?
Does anyone know if it is safe?
Thanks

I ate it with no problems. I thinkit is just the soft smally cheeses that have been treated.

You can have any soft cheese as long as it has been pasturised. So there are even some types of brie etc you can still have and I think you can get some pasturised pate!0

no to blue vein cheese and not just coz it smells of sweaty socksIt only seems kinky the first time.. :A0

they say you should avoid any of the mould ripened cheeses like Brie and Camembert unless they're thoroughly cooked but I've been eating goats cheese that's mould ripened as it was what I REALLY wanted to eat
It's like anything, the advice is for 100% safe, what you choose to do is up to you. It's worth noting that the recent scares over salmonella were in Cadburys chocolate and I believe the last case of a major outbreak in cheese was in cheddar so you pays your money and takes your choice0 -
Philly & Dairylea are both pasturised so safe to eat...not that I can imagine ever wanting too!?! Whilst I was preggers I figured it was still safer to eat a pure peice of unpasturised Brie than a chemical-laden toxic mixture porporting to be cheese...but that was my personal choice;)Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -

Excuse me for jumping on your thread, but could someone tell me why we can't have pate? It's my favourite foodstuff and I'm really craving it, nearly licked the packaging in Tescos last night
. It's got hardly any liver in it - just 34% - the rest being fat (nice). And if I ate some quickly after opening and give rest to dog, we'd both be happy.

agutka - because you shouldn't have vit A when preggers and pate has loads. plus it's nasty but that's just me0
