Not really news Sky have had a price freeze for the last year so it was fairly obvious at some point it'd end.
They still need to compete and the usual retention processes are still in place.

Not sure it's to pay for Premier football as they had the Grand Prix this year (free to HD or Sports customers) and didn't raise prices but I guess it makes a good headline.

Got a foriegn dish to watch all premiership games inc sat 3pm kick offs for around £6 per month.Sky cant do a thing about it!
  • Glad I got rid of sky 3 years ago. I can still use the box and get a lot of channels for free so I don't see the point of paying any more money to the Murdoch empire.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Not Buying it 2015!
  • Seriously considering ditching it. I'm paying around £60 a month which is too much as it is.

Have fitted sky from the start, it was £9.99 for everything. i no longer have it and with internet meeting tv, sky should be quaking in their nasty boots. lots of other ways for movies and sport on demand.

Quite a few of the people I work with have either got rid of Sky to get either Freeview or Freesat or have downgraded their packages to just get the basics.

When you are finding things hard then a £60 a month TV package is one of the first things to be reduced.

(And considering some of the rubbish "comedy" sky has made in the past 18 months they need the money to be able to do better shows which don't appeal to the LCD)

Actually, you can get a dish made in the UK to receive all that. :)
