It was lovely here first thing too. raining now though BOOOOO!

Went out to view the waste land that is my back garden. RIP runner beans. Yesterday I thought that 3 of them had a snowball's chance in hell of surviving and was proved right. The 2 remaining succumbed to slugs who must have burrowed under the wall of steel (pellets) around them. However I picked a basinful of gooseberries so gooseberry crumble will be on the menu shortly. Have given up on veg this year, we garden on pure clay and when it rains everything stands in lakes and apart from watercress (there's an idea) nothing will grow. Can see us suffering from scurvy before the winter is out.

The Rev is out to lunch again today so it will be some sort of eggy thing for me and a stir fry this evening. Two people called in this morning and asked if there was coffee and HM biscuits on offer. They had heard from the people who came to the meeting on Tuesday that my tins were full again. Not for long it seems.

Right, about time for lunch, what have I been doing all this time? Answer comes there none.

    Evening all

Moorhen - glad it went well, it's my worst fear

Well today I have been hobnobbing with royalty! :D For those who don't know, I work for a royal chairty, and Prince Charles came to open our new premises. I have met him before though work. But he is a lovely man, and he spent ages talking to my work kids, asking about the pictures we had displayed and what they have enjoyed on the course. He shook my hand and told me I do an amazing job! :)

It was a hectic day, people running round like headless chickens and then the heavens opened! But overall it went really really well, all the other guests (local councillors, businessmen etc). We had to tidy up after the guests left, which included dismantling the 4 gazebos in the pouring rain :(, so I'm now on sofa in my pjs and go the heating on cos I feel cold.

Popped to shops on way back for a few bits. Morrisons has butter for £1 at moment, not a make I've heard of but tastes ok.

    OS wise - ummm......

    Have a good night all

I did, I've known for 2months!! :rotfl: It's been public knowledge for a couple of weeks as his schedule for Wales week was announced start of July. But it's not really worth my job to spill the beans so I've kept quiet! Although I did elude to it this week on the Daily, but don't think anyone twigged!

Hi all just popped in to say 'our Henry' was brilliant considering he is a rufty-tufty little boy who you could never imagine doing anything 'stagey' at all he was amazing in the school production (a pirate story) and both Mum and I were quite emotional :), especially when the whole of year six stood at the end and sung a song about moving on with their lives to their new schools.Come September there will only be Mikey at primary school and he will be year four, they grow up so quickly.Just got in and am off to bed to finish off my book-club book, thoroughly enjoyed it I must say.
floss2, I hope you enjoy it as well as I have .
Right, good night God bless all here

    Evening everyone

A late post from me again. Been to new job for a few hours training before I start late August so I know a little about what I am doing. Before that I walked the dog and met up with his doggie friends and mine. Then on way home went to gym for an hour so feeling a little tired tonight.

Yesterday day was spent cleaning including all skirting boards downstairs, floors hoovered and mopped. Hallway walls washed down and kitchen worktops cleaned, stairs hoovered. we had our new sofa delievered yesterday, so it gave me a chance of a spring clean once the old sofa had been put out for the council to collect.(it wasnt fit to be recycled). After all that I even managed a trip to the gym.

Over the last few days I have been an emotional wreck, really bad tempered and crying at the drop of a hat, think its possibly hormones as I recently stopped the depo injection, I am hoping it doesnt last as it makes me feel so bad but can't seem to stop myself being horrible.

Had ds2 school report today, not a bad report but makes me realise that everything is still a struggle due to his dyslexia and yes I started crying again wondering what I can do to help him learn more, but it often ends up being a battle even doing a bit of homework. I have thought about getting a private tutor for maths and literacy, but unsure if that will help as he attends a school with a dyslexia unit attached and has made good progress.

Sorry I seem to have waffled on a bit there. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.
