Harassment after car accident

It will be because he wanting a hire car and needs an admission of liability before one is released to him. Otherwise he could be liable for the cost of the car if your insurer does not pay out for his claim.0

I had a similar situation a few years ago and just kept telling the other party that my insurance company were dealing with it. I sent my insurers (DL) full details including photographs (very minor damage) and it all went quiet for a couple of months. At renewal there was an open claim so I lost 2 years NCD. Then I received a letter from DL saying that the other party had made a claim but that they had refused to make any payment! My NCD was re-instated and the additional payment refunded :j Hopefully if the other party in your case tries to over-egg their claim your insurers will do the right thing.0

One good reason for never giving your phone number to the other party involved in an accident.0

OP sounds like was at fault here and trying to pull a fast one.0

How on earth did you come to that conclusion??0 -
Even if that is the case phoning them up and hassling them to admit liability is not the right thing to do.
The op has reported it to the insurance so the other guy should know that it's being dealt with and if he's got any questions then these should be directed to them now.0 -

Because you sound fishy, I wouldn't be surprised if you were in a situation where it looks like you're not at fault due to no witnesses, such as reversing into the car behind, which without witnesses has the hallmark of car behind hitting you.0 -

Thank you for your kind assessment of the situation but I was asking how I should deal with annoying calls from the 3rd party, not for opinions on the actual accident/whether I am dodgy/whatever.0 -

Ah! I see you are psychic, you can make judgements about someone and know what happened by their post on an internet forum.:eek:0
