I'm on my fifth article today, quite enjoying myself on the whole. If you keep looking at different times articles seem to pop up.
Once I get the fifth article done I will have earnt about 30 Euros, not bad. I'm not going to analyse it per hour as this might be depressing but looking like a handy little earner to fit between other commitments.0 -
I'm just doing my writing sample at the moment but there are a couple of things I'm not sure about. It says articles where the name you registered with is not included will be automatically rejected, does this just mean you have to sign it off with your name at the end of the article? I've asked others who are on textbroker but this wasn't mentioned when they submitted their sample.
If the article is rejected for any reason do you get the chance to redo it or make the necessary amendments?0 -
I was a bit confused by that as well, so just added a byline to the title: "Whatever it was about", by 'MacsReturns real name'. Worked out okay.
It will be rated, rather than accepted/rejected, your rating after that will depend on ongoing work.A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to let alone - Thoreau0 -
Hi Friend ! Can I recive payment in my bank account0

Pestered them again today and a few hours later FINALLY (after over 2 weeks) got my first 5 articles rated and my account opened again. All my articles were rated 4 so am now a 4 star :j
To celebrate I've picked up an article on how to sell your gold for cash. Right up my street."Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -

Sell My Gold for Cash! I did three of those dreadful articles, had to make them all unique. There's nothing I don't know about carats...0 -

Macs, this has happened to my partner. He was locked up after his first five submissions, got a direct order and now appears to be unlocked, even though he hasn't been rated. I assume you didn't have any problems picking up new orders?0 -
Just had an article come back for revision, the original instructions were only 3 lines long, but the added revision instructions are now over 30 lines from the client about what they want. Why not just put that in the first place?! Argh."Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0

Hi Applesue, no problems at all! Seems the 'system' just assumes that if you've had 6 pieces accepted your account is no longer locked. I've now had 10 articles accepted and am still waiting for my first rating review. I don't want to 'poke' them really - I'm picking up 4* jobs now, what if they marked me down? :rotfl:
@Catriona - I had bit of a palaver with a revision as well... The instructions were okay, but included an optional section saying I should mention and highlight 5 appropriate 'products' but to check their website supports them first.
Well, those 'products' weren't on their website, so I PMed the client and said so. PM came back saying 'ignore it'. So I used up the words with more general stuff about the broader topic, and submitted.
Next day it was back for revision, with a note saying "You haven't highlighted the 'products'." Not only did the left hand not know what the right hand was doing, someone obviously didn't even read the article, just looked for highlighting and whopped it back. So I PMed again, explaining this and asked if they could supply me with 'product' details I could use. No reply, and revision deadline loomed. PMed Textbroker and got very quick reply and support, and I basically just resubmitted the article with one extra paragraph break.
The NEXT day I received a list of 'products' to include! PMed back, saying too late, it's submitted according to the instructions and info I had been given prior to deadline. They can't send it back for revision twiceBut I did say, 'well, I could write an extra paragraph for you to insert, if you send me a DirectOrder for another 120-150 words'.
