Broadband and Landline Package - Who's Best?

I have just started to work from home using my mobile and a wireless broadband MiFi dongle.
I need to get seroius about working from home and am looking at home broadband and phone packages.
I need reliability and low costs.
I'm leaning towards Virgin Media for the broadband due to their lack of a download limit.
I want to pay as little as possible for line rental and I'm not fussy about taking on an overide supplier for my call costs.
I have recently moved and have got by without either of these so far. My home doesn't currently have a landline, so I suppose I'm looking at installation fees and connection costs wichever supplier I choose.
All of the combined packages look like thy're 6 of one and half dozen of the other.
I want to make a choice fairly quickly.
Can you help me to see the wood for the trees?

As above, do an exchange search on https://www.samknows.com for your available LLU suppliers.
Broadband is exchange specific, so there is no universal 'best'.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thanks for your feedback so far.
I'm in a well-served area with many different options- BT Wholesale ADSL
- BT Wholesale ADSL Max
- BT Wholesale WBC (21CN)
- BT Wholesale SDSL
- BT FTTC
- AOL LLU
- O2 / Be LLU
- Bulldog LLU
- TalkTalk (CPW) LLU
- Sky Broadband / Easynet LLU
- Tiscali LLU
- Tiscali TV (via Tiscali LLU)
- Virgin Media (Cable)

So Sky and o2 are the obvious LLU candidates.
If you want fibre then BT or VM are the options. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
