I remember the talks at school about what to do if "the bomb" went off and advice was to hide under your desk. Even in primary I was a bit of a cynic and remember wondering just how much good that would do me but had just enough sense not to say it aloud.;)
Anyone storing flour etc - don't forget yeast!
I find it difficult to see NK being able to go nuclear on us but strange things can happen and SHTF moments come when and where you least expect it.
I find prepping a bit and making things from scratch not only gives me more for the money but feels like a quiet rebellion to the whole sorry lot of them!!"This site is addictive!"

I was warm for a bit this afternoon, after a bracing dog walk and got some seeds planted (indoors!) - Lincoln peas, dwarf beans, Hubbard squash and sugar snap peas. The weird root veg are showing signs of life too.
Soap-making is not a skill of mine yet, it's okay for my own use but I'd hide it from anyone else!0 -
Has anyone read the book One Second After. I just ordered it because loads of USA prep sites say its amazing and made them work harder at their preps. It's a fictional story about society breaking down after an EMP strike - I hope it's good!0
