You can't survive on rabbit alone because it's poor meat, and has no carbs and no fat - my son is a falconer and that's how you reduce the birds weight , you feed them rabbit for a few days and the weight drops off them.

I think the old saying 'store what you eat and eat what you store' comes into it too

On many survivalist sites they store copious amounts of beans and rice as well as MRE's but a lot of people don't eat these at all at present then wind up with stomach problems when forced to live off of them.

Apparently eating only MRE's can make you severely constipated why I know that gem of a fact I really couldn't tell you I obviously have too much time on my hands :rotfl:

:D There's an old army joke about MREs; three lies in one; they ain't meals, they ain't ready and they ain't edible.:D

if you can find a combine harvester for £30k let me know... They're more like £300k upwards now,

Caterina - you need to think about your reasons for being veggie. If they are ethical, then have a think about whether there are any kinds of meat production you are OK with. When I started eating meat again I mostly ate pigeon that my dad shot in the wood behind our house. I now source local, preferably organic meat and make sure I don't waste any of it.

Folding money will be worth something only for the hole in the corner and a loop of string...:rotfl:

I'd get a combine under such circs, but you'd have to find your own fuel...

and payment may be a tithe or some such...

After a weekend with friends' children, I'm sure we could power a small commune from the energy generated by half a dozen under fours...

    :D LMAO.

Bad Fruball. You mentioned the K word in mixed company, they'll be hell to pay now. Mardywotsit might end up feeling _pale_. Mind you, K is a trad Scottish veggie, used to be "kale yards" behind trad cottages in olden days, didn't there?

All I can say having spent 5 winters north of the border is that I utterly understand the necessity of distilling alcohol.........:rotfl:
