Very cold here again and sunny with a bitter wind....but at least its not hail and storms like they told us we would get from today....lasting all week!!!!

    Morning all.

Have spent the weekend helping DH's family clear my late FIL's retirement flat. I came home on Sunday and took a look around my house at all my STUFF and realised the first thing my girls will do when we go is get a skip.

But I look at it and think it's all useful. I'm torn between trying to keep as much of it as possible in digital form and thinking I ought to keep hard copy in case of an EMP (saw in the papers last week, some scientists are urging the govt to set up a working party to work out how to prepare for another Carrington event - it's when, not if!)

But perhaps I will rationalise my stashes of fabric. And I need to inventory my stores and do some rotating of the not quite out of date stuff to the food bank
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!
  • This is very interesting....when you have read the report visit some of the links...the one about the ''pipeline of storms'' developing is great...and confirms many of the things Pier Corbyn has been saying about terrible storms coming up in the future for the states and UK.

In the meantime, time to don our collective conspiracy hats?
The main international news today is that the current Pope has resigned - who according to certain prophecy is the penultimate Pope.
Even worse, one of the front runners for his replacement fits the spec for 'the last one':eek:

Sounds lovely TM. One of the neighbours must have accidentally left the door open because they once found a sheep in their living room!
It makes me wonder - if things really did go belly up whether I would resort to a spot of rustling ;). I don't think any of us can know what we would do if we or our kids were truly hungry.

:) We'd best limit outselves to softie lowland breeds; I read somewhere that the Welsh mountain ones can jump clean over a 6 foot wall, should they be minded. I've also come bumper-to-snoot with them on the back roads when they lay in the middle of the tarmac taking their ease and giving you a Yeah, wanna make an issue of it? stare.

Come the zombie apocalypse, they'll be moving sharpish and looking nervous, no more scrounging sarnies off the hillwalkers.
