Fudgemaking from my foodcupboard today after I walk the dog.
I've been trying to make a different recipe each week at least from my food storage to try out on the family and so far I've had no complaints.
Will catch up later have a great day all XX0 -

Hi all
Another one here who looooooves this thread:T
Mrs L please carry on posting, I for one love reading what you have to say.
I bought OH a kettle a couple of years ago and we have had great fun with it camping, picknicking (is that a real word?) and I like the fact that it will run on any bits and bobs lying around, when/if we run out of camping gas.
Been studying today so haven't done much prepping, but plan to put my supplies in a cupboard in the garage that OH has cleared out in a bit.

I was Googling around for a set of decent plans for how to make a Hobo Stove out of a large tin can when I came across this...a design for making a small emergency woodburning stove from an Ikea cutlery drainer. :rotfl:
For a person like me who adores making things from old tin cans and junk while out camping, this idea is beyond brilliant. And it's from Ikea, lol. I think we should adopt it as the OS Preppers mascot, actually, and have a picture of it on a badge for when we go to our Ikea meet-ups.Val.0 -

Afternoon preppers all, can I say a HUGE thank you to the lovely people who sent me pm's that was such a lovely surprise when I logged on. I've just had the pleasure of reading through the OS 25th of August daily thread and it is warm, friendly and chatty, they are chatting about storecupboards and investing spare cash in sensible food goods for when times become even more difficult than they are now for us all. How is than any different to what we have been chatting about on this thread? Is it any different to do so in anticipation of a problematic event? and if so why should that be enough to provoke criticism? It's a mistery to me but I stand by what I said yesterday each to his own, I wouldn't presume to say anyones choices were wrong ones!0
