  • It won't be quite a clean slate, too much political dogma for that but instead of gloom and doom and pessimism all round it MIGHT just be a new start. No it won't be as comfortable and as affluent as being in Europe would have been and perhaps, just perhaps that will be better for us as a nation than comfort and chocolate? Time to dust off those stiff upper lips, time to see we are strong as a people, time to see that we WILL make ourselves, by our OWN hard work, a different and more sensible world in the UK. It will require each one of us to pull whatever weight we have, to be part of the building and if it's sweat and tears that will make a future, we'll give freely because we're British!!!

That happened to my Dh last weekend, someone at his firm put the wrong date on the payment so the whole firm had to wait 4 days for it to get sorted. Hope you get the money in ASAP

I actually felt a bit sorry for Cameron (I know, I know). But aside from the obvious reasons, I can understand his leaving. Who would be the PM that would preside over the leaving process and all the tangled fallout? Not least a divided parliament and Sturgeon chomping at the bit for a referendum on Scottish independence.

That is not good boultdj I do hope the pay is in very soon. It is always great if you can manage to have a little money put aside, and some extra food in as we do not know what can pop up for us, so a good thing. I have learned so much from these forums which I am grateful for.

I'm sure God sees me getting the mower out every week, and has a little laugh by making it rain on me when I'm half way through.

Anyone else get the same? :)

The food part is easy for me, growing up in a 2 street village,no shops, milk & eggs off the farm and a chance of being snowed in for 3 weeks means my mum trained me to keep a good store cupboard, so my cupboards are full,so is the freezer and I'm picking stuff off the garden, and oh yes! the furry owner bought me a fresh mouse yesterday, so if we get desparte I'll look up the recipe for 'mouse & fresh air soup':rotfl:
