I'm pretty sure the difference in temperature is down to the loft insulation.0

It does trap solar gain very effectively. Closing blinds during the day helps quite a bit especially if they are blackout blinds but although it keeps the temperature down I find it very stuffy.
We are in Italy atm and having to sleep with closed windows because of mozzies. Which is why I am on here at silly o'clock as it's unpleasantly close although the weather is decidedly cool with torrential downpours most days Most unusual for June all the locals tell us. Not much consolation. And of course it's due to get nice just as we head home. C'est la vieIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -

Makes me quite glad we haven't got any
Just seen your post maryb. So sorry you're not having better weather for your holiday!
I remember one year we stayed in a mobile home on a site in Brittany. There was a big pond in the centre of the site, very picturesque but I've never been bitten so much in my life!0 -

Their last post was 30th March, but they last logged into the forum on the 7th June, I was just thinking I hadn't seen them post in a while - but hadn't realised it was that long a while.0 -

Well the decision is made and the vote is cast and will go into the post tomorrow! Rightly or wrongly I've voted how I feel is right and we'll see if I'm minority or majority when the results come out. Had a big talk with He Who Knows before I made my decision and he utterly surprised me with the decision he made!!! Being grown up is difficult sometimes isn't it?0

Came home to a leaflet from the Leave campaign. Chucked it into the recycling bin unread, which is what I have done with all propaganda from either side. The time to make this decision was, imo, long before the furore in the run up to the vote.
We live in Interesting Times, sure enough.
It's been raining hard enough here to make starting work on the Ark seem a reasonable proposition. Pass me that set square, our Noah, and let's get cracking.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

It means I don't have to get cross with the posturing and total rubbish that is the ongoing debate which is a really good thing for my blood pressure. Hasn't this rain made everything green and growing look happier, the garden is a joy now and everything therein is looking 'washed clean' and sprightly.0

thanks for that nuatha, see i thought this whole Brexit thing would have been right up their street,
Funnily enough it was the diversion into vacuum packers and dehydrators that made me realise I hadn't seen them post for a while.
Its not that I ignore people, its that sometimes I don't note the passing of time as I should, that coupled with the fact that I try never to react to the poster but to the post can mean that I miss the arrival of new posters as well as the absence of regulars - I know, the next step is dementia.MrsLurcherwalker wrote: »Well the decision is made and the vote is cast and will go into the post tomorrow! Hopefully that's removed a major health risk - there's no need for either side to affect your blood pressure now.0
