Half dozen eggs going to be boiled this weekend - I'm not generally in the mood to 'cook' on a bad day, but they'll keep in the fridge well enough.

I'd feeling a bacon theme - one I definitely approve of... Bacon also keeps quite well me thinks.

And I'm plotting a vegi bake - for the vitamins.

    5th April, here I come.

    Thanks guys.

:) How about some avocado? Takes seconds to prepare - run a knife around it, twist the two halves apart, flip out the golf ball and scoop out the flesh with a teaspoon.

Bacon and acocado is lush. You can also cook pasta ahead of time and keep it in the fridge and create pasta salads in a minute. Very pack-upable for lunch, chuck in a few cherry toms and something green, swirl thru some mayo and it looks like you tried hard.........:rotfl:

It's shocking that it's got so far. In my experience protest votes can be very dangerous. Imagine if we have Trump on one side of the Atlantic and Boris on the other. Beggars belief doesn't it?

It must be hard for the sensible Republicans though. If they don't want Trump they will be forced to vote for Hillary. And most Republicans hate Hillary with a passion!
I think that the real problem is with the two main parties. Both are corrupt and basically have the same policies bar a few social issues for their respective bases but they are both selling the average american down the river. Now while I think Donald Trump is a frightening prospect, remember if the main parties had actually listened to the public this would never be an issue.

It is said that parties do not win elections but governments lose them. So for americans whose standard of living has been stagnant for 40 years a revolution of one form or another is inevitable. Thankfully for them there is a viable peaceful alternative called Bernie Sanders.

Well finally back online. I had a minor SHTF situation mid move. I had the phone line transferred but when I tried to get sky to reinstall the broadband no one actually realised that they had a new policy of only selling broadband with line rental so my only alternative was to do that and wait another 14 days for the transfer. So they left me completely up the river without internet access and no way to find alternatives. Fortunately I managed to contact my existing phone line provider who now offered broadband with my line rental package and I was even able to upgrade to fibre. Since I can see the telephone exchange cabinet out of my bedroom window I now get an 80 Mbit service for only £20 more than I was paying Sky.

You really need to try it with peanut butter. It sounds awful but try it and you will be amazed.

I have never (knowingly) had an avocado.

Are they the ones that are really high in calories? I think someone at fat club was saying they were eating one a day then being surprised they were not losing weight.

Peanutbutter - Blegh. Can't even stand the smell :(

:) Hell, I'm eating them (half at a time) and losing weight. Be more suspicious of the bread & pasta side of the spectrum than the poor ole avocado. Lots of healthy fats in there.
