If I remember rightly newshadow.. Even though rabbitvis a good clean meat. It can't be eaten day in and day out due to the lack of certain things???
As has been said, it's the almost complete lack of fat to protein. A rabbit is something like 10% fat, compared to beef or pork at 30%.
I think it's fine if you serve it with fats - nuts/seeds/butter/oil.
Alternatively, chickens are fab - a bit noisier and need more space, but eggs are great for you - 10% (really good) fats v's 13% protein. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Another vote for chickensWe recommend natural sources of Taurine for cats whenever possible, including:
Shellfish – Excellent sources of Taurine, with high levels in clams, scallops, krill and shrimp.Natural source of taurine for cats - sardines
Fish – Cold water fish such as sardines or salmon are excellent, natural sources of Taurine that cat’s love.
Meat – All meat contains Taurine, with dark poultry meat being one of the best sources.
Eggs
Dairy products
Natural Taurine supplements suitable for cats – Fresh or low-temperature dried seaweed, freeze-dried krill, and brewer’s yeast. Our senior cat is fed both freeze-dried krill and a seaweed/algae mix on a regular basis. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

We used to eat a lot of game birds and wabbit when my youngest son - the falconer- was at home. I got really good at skinning them with a stanley knife. I'm not mad on the taste but I found chucking it in a stew with odd & ends of bacon and kidney etc made it bearable. The RV loves it though.0

Personally I can't stand the smell - my landlady when I lived in Italy used to boil half a rabbit a couple of times a week0 -

Not forgetting rabbits, the easiest of the animals to skin and prep, for the pot.0 -

As long as you eat some greenery with it (dandelion or nettles leaves will do), you will be fine.0 -

Tongue in cheek Bob, tongue in cheek.
It's not the lack of fat that would worry me, it's the high protein count.0
