This afternoon I realised this was the 3rd & 4th time I've dreamt about tower blocks. I told you guys about this after the 2nd time. Odd eh? I wonder if there's something in this. These were all incredibly vivid & frightening dreams that I remembered perfectly the next day.
I don't even know anyone who lives in a tower block, and all my flats are ground floor, in blocks of five or fewer floors. I guess I'll be very careful if I ever have cause to visit a tower block.0 -
It sometimes pays to place close attention to the upper floors of Shoebox Towers as some upstairs neighbours carry out gravitational experiments with household appliances. Not sure what the terminal velocity of a fridge freezer is but they don't half leave a dent in the grass.
Plus someone throwing something like a cooker down two floors is enough to wake the dead.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

The most terrifying one involved being chased over open country by giant sofa-sized Mr Kipppling F0ndant Fancies, all pastel coloured, but with slavering mouthfuls of vicious teeth.
Are you sure it wasn't a giant, stay puft marshmallow man?
Why is it, you can sleep right through the scary dreams, but, with the the nice/sexy ones, you wake up, just as it gets interesting?0 -

Nah, if was definately F0ndant Fancies. I've never felt quite the same about them since.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Right now - there must be some sort of "balancing out law" going on re my dreams. I'm having dreams of "leading a totally normal type" life type - ie of the type of people/situations I know from my past.
Have decided its my subconscious balancing out for the nightmare situations in Real Life (ie every time I see the news these days:eek:) and hence its decided I've got to have some "Normal Life" and turning it out in my dreams. Hence - no bad dreams at the moment - as compensation for the nightmarish Real Life we're all having at the moment (courtesy of Isis/hordes of people moving into Europe and Britain/etc).0 -
I've had some pretty wacky dreams for a few months now. Some good some bad. I like the adventure ones where i'm a bit of a Lara Croft kinda chick....:D.
I have done neither of these for a few years now, but the best dreams are the ones where you can fly.....i used to love those ones, amazing feeling.
I also used to lucid dream quite often . This was ok if I was directing a good one, but not so good with nightmares, and occasionally I used to get stuck and couldn't get out of it or change it as I wanted.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Now there's a thought = re lucid dreaming. Done the course/got the books - should make the effort, as I've only had a couple.
I was envious of a lodger I had many years back that had them regularly - seemed to be quite the norm for her. One way and another - I came to regard her as being a pretty "advanced" person.:)
On a different tack - the lighter thought for the day re all the stuff in the news is the way Twitter users are responding to the Brussels lockdown (now on Day 3!!!). They were asked not to tweet police movements - in case the terrorists were helped by it. They responded by deciding to "drown out" any tweets like that with pictures of cats. Started by one saying "Cats = my kind of people" and now being continued with lots of amusing cat pictures. Thinks - FrugalSod - are you free for a bit of "Twittering" today? LOL.
That's the thing - these terrorists don't seem to have any discernible sense of humour - so funny cat pictures seems quite appropriate to me as a response on that front. After all - they've used cuddly pictures of cats to lure some young girls living in our country to join them.0
