Until cats develop opposable thumbs and can operate can openers I think we're safe. They still need us. Of course, once we are obsolete, then all bets are off...

Dogs are already shooting on average one person a year already without opposable thumbs.

You just know that the NRA would say the only way to stop a bad cat with a gun, is a good cat with a gun.

Except haven't we already established further up the thread that there's no such thing as a good cat... they're ALL plotting to kill you

I'd be very firm with the cat that's got it's eye on you Money. It could be planning to kill you and live on your carcass...http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2391223/Janet-Veal-56-gnawed-eaten-CATS-kitchen-floor-died.html

    Hello All

Just popping in to say there seems to be a lot of free prepper books on Amazon kindle store atm. I just put free + prepper into search and about 5 pages came up.There are general survival ones, several box sets, ones concentrating on specific topics such as what to have to barter, food storage and water purificaion. Hope it is of use to some one, Elaine

Also the odd Z novel for those that want one!!

My cat is a posh snooty teenage rich girl with attitude. Her idea of a BOB would be hair straightners and a manicure set.

I am a bit disconcerted as I think I have finally sold the house ready to downsize.

I turned down a lowish offer a couple of days ago as they wanted to move in before Christmas and I did not see any way that was feasible as probate needs finishing and I had not found anywhere for myself yet.

I got a phone call this morning from the EA and the people have upped the offer a little and say there will be no time pressure put on me! I spoke to family and have phoned back to accept.

DDs have found a chalet bungalow they think would be perfect as there is a bedroom downstairs and also space upstairs so family could stay over and the tax band is lower as well. Near to a bus route yet in a quiet cul de sac and easily maintained garden.

Go for it, elona, sounds like that bungalow has your name on it!

Well done (and congratulations on not giving to the first offer and time pressure). The chalet bungalow sounds ideal.
Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.

It was a prearranged exercise with 2-3 months warning of the airspace closure (though it took a number of people by surprise, quite a firework by all accounts). There's doom mongers looking for any sign that can be used to fit their pet theory (and sell you prepping gear and gold into the bargain)
