NO! It would be the biggest retrograde step taken for centuries and we would in effect be relinquishing control of our finances to the fat cat bankers who would be even more faceless than they are now, it would be a disaster!!!

Small & totally unimportant update: Apple keyboard really was terminal, soaking & drying didn't work. Now replaced, and resident key-warmer has now taken to kipping on the TV remote instead...

Yelp is like a review site where customers critique the local retailers and restaurants. Sort of like the Yellow Pages but aimed specifically at the consumer.

I suspect that these people would also be at the front of the rioters come the revolution, and will also be far more adaptable than the average pleb. Just that their recreational drug use has encouraged other skills to develop. If you want to know how to blend in, in an urban environment these are the experts. I suspect that GQ had absorbed many of these skills by osmosis by simply being around them.

Well, well, well the interesting times we live in may be getting to be more interesting! This little headline just popped up on the news from the Telegraph:-

The National Grid has just said that due to 'breakdowns at MULTIPLE Power stations ' and at 1.30 today issued a 'Notification of Inadequate System Margin' and said they need to find an extra 500 megawatts of power between 4.30 and 6.30 this afternoon. They say it is normal procedure to issue a NISM but I've never seen a notification of it in the news before now. I may be wrong and just have not spotted one!

Interesting times indeed?

A good part of this problem can be laid at the door of the Prime Minster. Many energy users particularly high users have contracts that will give them low prices but the downside is that they could be cut off at short notice. This is how the grid will make up its short fall. Though there has been delays in approving renewable generation and a significant cut in the feed in tariff that would have incentivised households to generate a significant slice of domestic energy supply very rapidly. Germany now gets as much as 50% of its daytime energy needs from renewables.

It's the word MULTIPLE that concerns me the most, how many is multiple? and what had caused them ALL to have breakdowns on the same day?
