have you got things in the car that you might need in the event you are kept away from home for any reason? blankets, torch, snacks, water, grit, salt, hat, coat, gloves, mobile phone charger, emergency contact details and how about your every day carry?

dont forget the tinned tomatoes :D

Ah ha, knew I had forgotten one thing. Water in car needs to be replenished, every thing else is present and correct, also includes collapsible snow shovel and fluorescent jacket, plus whistle. And snow chains tow rope and canvas cover in case of broken windows letting in weather and some MRE .... Oh dear, ahem, I am really not that paranoid ....

And I have 2 trays of tinned toms ..... :rotfl: but not in the car, just in the new stock cupboard :T

    My thanks vanoonoo

Water water everywhere and not a lot to drink

Spiky, you are a life saver, as a seasoned prepper I always have cable ties around - quite an addiction which Dd takes somewhat for granted ie, ' Mum the buggy is broken, when you pick it up you just need to fasten it with your cable ties' I even have them in my handbag.

Ds has just been round to our garage (over the road behind the flats) and came back ranting about the torch we leave handily inside the door, Bl**dy useless was the comment - he picked up the wind up torch from next to the electric box and claimed it was amazing. he has actually rescued 2 huge star wars framed prints from the garage that I bought him for his 21st after looking on flea bay for something for his walls. Its only taken him 10 years to use them :D I am glad they were too big to sell on fleabay otherwise he would have been gutted.

I think a back up firelighter might be sensible - after all, the first one might get left out in the rain? :p

yes I think twisted firestarter would be appropriate Dr Dragon! I especially like the idea of taking the head off the electric toothbrushes - very innovative!

Are you a magic dragon or a regular one?
