Twofishes, have you been back to your GP? Just to make them aware of what's happening, and perhaps they could tweak your meds for a little while, now normally I don't "throw pills at the problem" but we all need some help from time to time. It may just give you the oomph to be OS/meal plan etc.
Also, do post up what you have in the cupboards and what kind of meals you likeYou are not alone

Twofishes there should be a Student Welfare person in your Uni, go and see them they might be able to help with practical matters but also provide some counselling. Best wishes. xFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

Twofishes ask the student welfare people about their hardship fund, you might be able to get some funds to tide you over until Student Finance sort out your money. Take care x0

Twofishes sorry to hear you are struggling, please take the advice of the people on here and get help.
Well I spent yesterday watching The Wartime Kitchen and Garden and some of The Victorian Kitchen will watch the rest during the week.
I loved them also looking forward to watching Tales of the Green Valley.
Watched the Walking Dead on Friday Night too. Love it.C.R.A.P. R.O.O.L.Z. Member. 21 Norn Iron deputy h

Well the !!!!!! has kind of hit my fan. I am a student and thanks to Student Finance ineptness still have had no money. I also have clinical depression and was on the right medication and all but the money stress has given me some breakthrough depression and I'm very low. So I have a little money to tide me over but I don't know how long I will need it for, and it's making me very unmotivated for basic OS skills like meal planning. I am not sure what will help.

Caterina you are a terrible tease :rotfl:
2tonsils, I suggest you go foraging for wood and buy lots of woolly knickers - OMG -30 you will see polar bears out the window. I cannot believe they reckon its going to be that cold. I think some serious prepping is in order for all of us, if you get minus 30 we could bet on another winter of minus 18 like a couple of years ago.
My hot water bottle died in the night and the other one is lost so have 2 kiddy sized ones - Im going out to buy some more tomorrow I need them for my sciatica at the mo never mind later on.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

good luck twofishes keep us posted how you get on, little steps, as I am sure you know, will help to make you feel like you are achieving, so make sure you attempt to do the basics like getting to lectures and having one good meal a day even if it's a last minute thrown together bowl of pasta with pasata and cheese x keep hydrated too - lots of cups of tea or at the least glasses of water.
dont be afraid to ask for help either here or in real life xBlah0 -
twofishes :mad: I get so angry at these people, dont they realise there are people at the other end of the claim who have to live. For my bit of advice, 6p instant custard at Mr T poured on a cheap cake will fill you up after a bowl of pasta mixed with anything even just a bit veg and a dot of butter. I imagine though its bills and stuff that are the problem.
Wondercollie, sounds like you are a bit of an expert on cold weather if you live in it so much we would all be glad of your wisdom as we deal very badly in the UK with cold. Even snow chains are useless unless you live in the country. We have a lot of trouble getting off our estate in the snow but then its main roads so technically I believe you would have to take the chains off? Could do with chains on OH's wheelchair thoughthats my main problem, he cant stay in the car if we get to a supermarket so I have to struggle. Of course as a fully paid up member of craprollz I wont have to go out if the weather is bad I WILL be prepped

There's a point. Can you get winter tyres for a wheelchair like you could for a car? If not, someone needs to invent them!0
