This article from Zero hedge also highlights the problems.

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-02-08/if-greece-exits-here-what-happens-redux

There will be more bank runs and bank collapses if Greece exits. The banks are seriously undercapitalised in Europe and even here to a lesser extent. When that happens there will be a credit crunch and new loans especially for business will be minimal and that will not help maintain growth and employment. What could happen is that banks only lend on property so another housing bubble until things collapse again.

  • Afternoon you lot, just when you thought it was safe........back I come!!!

Hi SUZY nice to have you on board, we're all a little bit individual (crazy if you like!) on this thread and it's always lovely to have new friends join in with the mayhem, oh sorry, chat!!!

I've just caught up with the last few pages and I would like to vote that BOB is already a NATIONAL TREASURE and suggest to the National Trust that they aquire Shoebox Towers for the nation and elect GQ as custodian and venerated leader of the community, mind if we did that we'd have to be polite to them both all the time wouldn't we, maybe not!!!

 Sheesh, Lyn, I just about spat my tea at the monitor after reading that! You should put a Beverage Warning on your posts. Shoebox Towers is already renowned in cop shops across the region. If we call them and say there's an incident they don't get awkward about what and how bad, their starting point is 'we'll send 4 units'. And prolly scramble the chopper crew, too.:rotfl:

  • I should have explained that the post doesn't so much come with crown, sceptre and orb as a crash hat, a pointy stick and a shot put (all in gold of course)and complete with a full outfit of body armour instead of ermine robes. That and your own personal army, I don't see it being a problem with you in charge,Supergran for a deputy and Nursie loose as a watchdog in the building at all times, might be known as 'Peaceful Towers' with that in place???
  • lol I do enjoy the banter on here :) Suzy a very warm welcome to you :) great to have you on here. They are a smashing group of people and there is great wisdom and tips etc. on here too. My dh is off for a week so it is lovely to have his company and also our dear little grandson is walking today :) Life is so happy today :) x Margaret

  • MARGARET that's wonderful news. We got that Zebra his first pair of cruising shoes on Friday last week and by the time I'd got back on Monday he was walking everywhere, getting very cross if anyone tried to hold his hand and just tottering everywhere in the house. He's had a couple of losses of balance and gone over backwards, luckily on carpeted floors but is a determined laddy and is really getting the hang of it. Hope Caleb is up, up and away very quickly, isn't it exciting??? Lyn xxx.

  • Hi Lyn ah so lovely to read about little Zebra:) Time is flying by too fast isn't it? Caleb will be having his shoes at the weekend I think as Mummy and Daddy are at work all week, and we can't wait to see him next week toddling :) We have rain today and it is colder but can't complain as it has been dry all week and not as cold as it was. I am going to the rugby tonight with dh :) so looking forward to going and then he is at home all weekend and we will do something exciting like visiting the local library :) and buying the M&S special meal for two for Sunday dinner :) Dh works every weekend so it will be lovely to have his company. Hope you all have a relaxing weekend if you are able to and take good care all too.x Margaret

:p We are a well-known crime hotspot. If we hit treble nine something really bad is happening.

I've gone to police-public meetings and the stats for the Towers distort the crime figures upwards for our section of the city..........:rotfl:We also have temp accomodation for ex-prisoners close by (30 yards). At one of these meetings, an officer said that we did have some VERY nasty crims in that accomodation at that time, but on the plus side they (the police) did know where they were.

Yeah, I thought, and I know where they are, 30 blinking yards from my flat!!!!!!!!!
