Apologies for the beverage-incident. I didn't originate it, I picked it up somewhere in my travels.

so, i was standing beside the car and said 'oh, there's a stick in the tire. I should remove it'. I pulled it out...and the rush of wind blew my hair back and my dh said he could hear me say 'oh, $h*t' from inside the castle ruins.
He was very kind about changing it but a tiny bit aggravated when he was done and we had nothing to wipe his dirty hands on. A crew of groundskeepers were there and one of them brought him a rag.

You can't be prosecuted for trespass, it's a civil not a criminal offense, you can only be sued, and that'd only succeed if they could prove you'd damaged stuff whilst trespassing.
Of course!!! I bloddy teach trespass and that had never occurred to me  I shall use that next time i teach it!!
I think Suzy is going to fit in just fine!I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Anyone watch 10,000 BC tonight?
I really felt sorry for them trying to catch fish with sticks & flints. Wouldn't they have been better off trying to tickle the fish?
I laughed out loud at the Asian lad who thought it would be like a Filet-o-fish.
How daft to make them learn everything by trial & error though. No wonder they're all starving.0 -

How daft to make them learn everything by trial & error though. No wonder they're all starving.I haven't yet watched it, assuming it's available over the web? It would be more efficient to weave a fish trap, a tubulular narrowing basket, which could be doing its stuff whilst they were doing other things. Or build a small weir in a stream and hope that the fish would congregate behind it where they would be speared/ scooped out? Or improvise a net?
I expect no one, once they'd agreed to this participate, took the opportunity to read a few books, surf a few websites, or carry out a few experiments?
I do know how to carve a gaff hook from wood and bind it to a stick with the thin whippy roots from conifers so I'd have a go at spear fishing behind a little weir. Apparently, if caught with a gaff hook anywhere near a good fishing river and you run the risk of getting the c*rp beaten out of you by its official guardians. Which suggests it's an effective tool.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
