Frugalsod - Not sure if you have ever looked at this site : http://x22report.com/daily-alerts/

It pulls together a number of articles that are topical that day to do with the economy, including some from zero hedge...

I have seen their Youtube channel occasionally.

    Thanks Frugalsod.

Made me laugh that I am more likely to be killed by auto-erotic asphyxiation than by terrorism. Since that is impossible due to not indulging in such practices, I think I'm pretty safe from terrorism. :)
I am more concerned about toddlers with guns, a vending machine falling on me or marrying a Kardashian. All are more likely than getting killed by a terrorist in some incident.

While I am not denigrating any of the victims I do think that we should be put things into perspective.

I'm still here, but prepping has to take a back seat to illness and end of year tax declaration (not that I'm one of the regular posters anyway ... still here tho :) ).

I'm wondering if people are just huddling in, in the cold, or maybe some peeps have even lost electricity?

  • It's snowing over here atm, and moderately heavy too.

My car already has an inch or so of snow on it.

I'm here, been a bit busy, though! No snow here yet, thank goodness, but it's been bone-chilling cold the last few days. I was quite poorly on Monday, and took to my bed (first time in years!), and even with nightwear, bed socks, a very thick fleece throw and flannelette bedding I was frozen - could see my breath steaming so goodness knows how cold it was!

We've had a few brown-outs over the last couple of months, averaging 3 or 4 a week, double the usual rate - not sure it means anything or not?

    A xo

    Making Herself's birthday present.
Cold here, the only snow was in the early hours of Sunday, gone by 9:00am, though there was a heavy coating on ice on my windscreen this morning.
Haven't had much to add to discussions of late, so tend to keep quiet rather than repeat points already made.
Right back to the dragon (the present, not Herself)
