The gale has died down, and the rain has stopped, but the clouds are almost black.0

Just had the second hot sunny cloudless day on the trot, 20-21 celcius, light breeze, the waxing moon in the lovely blue sky, perfect weather.
I've visited the North but I'm not sure I really approve of it; there's entirely too much weather and the landscape goes up and down worryingly. I like my landscape to slope ever-so-slightly, mebbe roll a wee bit, but not yer actual proper hills and mountains.
There is a mouse in the compost dalek up at the allotment. Well, I suppose it makes a change from woodlice..........:rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Two possible scenarios....
A. The S has HTF and the world as we know it has ended
Or
B. Everyone is busy enjoying an unseasonably sunny November Sunday.

I'm feeling grumpy because I usually have a coal fire during the Autumn half term holiday but it has been too warm. Today, I thought &*%$ it, so I have a bowl of stew ready to eat and have the fire glowing nicely! The neighbours are sitting in their garden and probably think I have lost the plot but I am smiling
Bring on a few frosty mornings asap or the germs at school will still be doing the rounds next week.

Far from sunny here, Nargleblast, I'm afraid; wet & windy, but still warm. Thinking I should have done my Christmas cake & pudding by now, but have been too busy this last week. Hopefully not so busy this week coming...
To my horror I've actually been & gone & run out of several things this week, most notably horseradish sauce... I think I may have been resting on my prepping laurels a bit too much!Angie - GC Aug25: £207.73/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0 -
Heh, I've been having a lazy day and staying offline until 5 mins ago. Wouldn't be here now but a last-minute change of plans (pal ill) has cancelled tonight's modest revelries..............
I cleaned my stove and lounged in the bath tub, which also incorporated 10 litres of water from my smallest water carrier, which has now been re-filled and tucked away again out of sight.
Preptastic. And because I was going to be eating at a friend's tonight and now am here, I have hauled some sausages out of the freezer and will be using them as part of my supper.
Had my nose in two books and finished both of them today, a non-fiction on materialism and the latest Jim Butcher....... I am an inter-lect-you-all, don'tcha know................*
