'Bout the same here for a 2 bed tower flat, a whisker under or over £100 per week.
Mine's a one bed so cheaper, but there are service charges which you can't get out of. Still, for someone in my circs, it's the least-worst option and very handy for work - 5 mins' walk.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

thriftwizard you know where I am don't you? My rent is £795 for 2 bedroomed house, front and back gardens, free reign with decoration. Yes my house is small but you can get something decent with the money he has. We were looking at Moo***lls (Le**h R**d are you with me?) back in the summer and that was £650 per month. It was ok, but there are houses out here with some sort of longevity. What I would say to you is look at the rental agents that are now above the book shop (main estate agents office is opposite M***ter Sweets
Very good, saw us right, you'll know the owner of the firm

I feel quite happy now with my nice 2 bedroom bungalow, solid brick walls, big rooms and high ceilings, prewar build with big back and front gardens. I pay £68 a week.0

Just have to be happy with your lot Mar don't you? The rise in rent to live where we do now has opened so many doors for me and my family.
We are happy with our lot even though 'our' lot stems on something that doesn't belong to us but by being here means my children go to Ofsted 'outstanding first, middle, and upper schools, I get a job that fits around home life and we get to explore nature playground enjoying days as a family. It doesn't matter where you live. It doesn't matter what you have or have not got, where it is or how much it costs because non of it matters if you haven't got a determined spirit that strives for contentment.

:T Well said, fuddle.
I used to live in a bedsit and now I have separate rooms with doors on! And a fridge. And have been poking around in my cupboards deciding what to have to eat tonight. There is plenty of food, and choices, a warm clean bed and hot and cold running water. Pure bliss.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Yep, you have sometimes to make your own luck. I thought my rent was high though until I read what people on here are paying.0
