PLA ended around 1980 as far as I recall. Why not send the trunk by overnight carrier? This one popped up when I googled 'send trunk within UK'

Really hope that little darlin' doesn't start to slide. Can remember what one scientist said. It'll fall. Could be tomorrow, could be 10,000 years' time, but it'll fall.
If that one goes, it will be beyond SHTF time.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Scarey about La Palma. Did anyone see that documentary about the big chunk of rock that is teetering over the sea there? If it ever falls there will be a mega tsunami.

edit: See GQ beat me to mentioning this.0 -

Funny, I was only thinking about Cumbre Vieja t'other day, as in it would make a north sea surge look like a wave in a paddling pool. Really hope it doesn't fall into the sea or the carnage will be beyond belief.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Interesting rebuttal here, but I'm not too sure how independent it is:

Even the Wiki I linked to indicates that the sudden-detachment-catastrophic-tsunami theory is controversial and that research is ongoing.
You could have no detachment. Or a gradual slippage which caused no tsunami. Or a very small and localised tsunami.
There have been serious consequences to underwater landsides here in the UK. Such as these https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storegga_Slide
Tsunami debris 50 miles inland in Scotlandshire.
And check this out:
That's a view of the Greek island of Santorini. That gap in the middle is a 400m deep crater filled with ocean where the rest of this volcanic island used to be. It blew 3,600 years ago and the tsunami hit Santorini's much larger southern neighbour, Crete.
It went well inland and is believed to have dealt the death-blow to the advanced palace civilisation we call Minoan. I've been to both places and it's beyond fascinating. Santorini's volcano is still active and is growing new, small islets inside the caldera. You can see them steaming.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
