Thank you for the kind posts, glad I'm not alone and some very like minded people:beer::j
I've had a mad evening with my six year old having a meltdown/anger/screaming/throwing/aggressive fit that lasted over an hour! throwing cushions and then went to hit my hubby after pushing me:( Hubby said to cool off in backyard but just attempted to break everything by throwing around yard slide etc. The change due to not allowing kids program on during dinner folks! yes the bad bad mother that I am:o, when behaviour carried on I let the3 year old had a hm ice lolly after dinner when they couldn't ( due to being rude to me and was throwing cushions at me) was expecting the police to knock my door due to the screaming thinking a murder had taken place. No activities that were planned next few days and everything to be earnt again. Didn't talk to much once calmed down told behaviour wasn't excepted and we will be talking about it after school.:(.
Where is the angrychild coming from? we had a lovely afternoon after school picking blackberries! This bad rubbish mother is just checking in the "crapmother's motel" I shall be in the selfhating/battery suite all welcome!
Re-breaking down my other half was unwell the other week and I took him to walk in clinic, I had the kids with me but due to wait and infections around left with kids. We went to the hospital caf! but it was closing so we went to car as we didn't want to hang a round. Sitting in the car with two kids and other than a game on hubby's phone they were bored and didn't want to play usual car game's Ispy etc. The snacks I had made the kids want a drink and found only had one juice carton due to helping self to stash on days out when I was low on funds.
I have a fold up chair in my boot along with a beach tent ( for shelter but also to help contain children in a small area in unsafe location of layby ) Golfing umbrella to fit said kids. I have a travel kettle and cup a soups ( but you need to ensure you have water, I thought I had some but hubby nabbed it one hot day without telling me )
The following I found usefull traveling with kids carsickness or if you happen to become unwell on trip.
I have a tub with a lid ( I got it from the pound shop as it was filled with popcorn I saved it as sick bucket ) Inside I have nappy sacks to put used wipes, anti-bac gel/spray, wetwipes, one binliner ( as vomit clothes in boot is not a nice scent ), an old teatowel ( to sit on if someone has been sick on seat ) mints. Yes I have had an experience of coming back off holiday with a loaded car and a bout of sickness along the main hilltop road coming out of minehead. Lesson learnt, keep things at hand under your seat!
The op who has had a flare up of arthritis, my friend has flare ups of her illness and lives in the middle of no where, she has a sick box which she makes during times when she is well. She has a box/shoebox that she covered with paper in which she has a dvd (she picked up in cs), a face pack, smellies bubble bath and hand cream, book she picked up at cs/bootsale and a small mini bottle of wine and chocolate:T She keeps it under her bed at hand so it gives her a wee treat as she puts it as she forgets what she puts in it when she is well and picked up along the way.0 -

Found this site apologies if this has been put up already. Some great ideas

Todays challenge should you care to accept it is:
A neighboring state has been struck by a nuclear weapon. All water sources in your area have been contaminated with radiation. Only the water that is already stored in your home is safe to use.
Goal: Survive today using ONLY stored water
Today’s Tasks:- Go and shut off the main water supply to your house immediately (view tutorial)
- Cook all of your meals (and clean up) using only stored water
- Every family member must “shower” or bathe today
- Research your water purifier/filter and determine if it will filter out radiation
- Carefully track ALL your water usage, divide that by how much you have stored and calculate how many days supply you ACTUALLY have

FEMA reckons we need about 1 gallon, per person, per day.
That means I have about 8.8 day's worth.
Given our temperate climate, I could probably stretch it to 10 days.0 -
Regarding the 7 day challenge... We have only about 10 gallons and there are 5 of us, I bought a lot of the bottled stuff so I am not actually doing the challenge as it seems wasteful, but I will think about how we would cope. I grew up without running water so I have plenty of experience with that side of it anyway. I never take the stuff for granted!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
