If the dog isn't caught muddy-pawed at the scene of the crime, you could always pretend it was otters/ herons/ seagulls wot scoffed the fishies.

People believe anything of wildlife these days.

Those heading for camping and festivals - remember to eat fruit and vegs, you wont get malnourished in a week but may get constipated. :(

There's worse problems at a festival - the opposite being one of the worst, some immodium is a useful thing to carry.
At festivals I tend to work on instant dried food that only needs hot water and then have a meal on site in the evening.
You may find that fuel for the Kelly might not be that easy to obtain on a festival site, unless you're a newspaper addict.

I agree with nuatha. After all, not needing to use festival toilets is NOT a disadvantage. Although you may feel uncomfortable. When I'm travelling I take psyllium husk and linseed capsules (because sometimes my body decides it doesn't know when it will see the next toilet and goes on strike, despite my brain telling it what the travel timetable is...).

I know you are taking babywipes VJsmum, but take twice as many as planned. If you need the immodium you'll need more babywipes... and you can use them if handwashing facilities are inadequate. Or to clean up spills... or anything really...

:) You definately need the wipes and the more the merrier.

If I could make a wee suggestion; how about a cloth eye-mask each? It gets light silly-early at this time of year and it'll come thru the tent and wake you up. I'm guessing you'll be wanting to have a chilled start to the day, not being woken at sparrowf.rt o'clock?

Thanks for all the suggestions - I am taking notes!

I, too, am figuring that constipation may not be a bad thing!:D I am not good at "going" when others are around at the best of
    times (sorry if TMI :o)

We are having a trial erection (oo err) of the tent this weekend.

THe good thing about the KK is that it doesn't need a lot of fuel - twigs and pine cones etc are sufficient. Anyone tried tea lights? I think I will use bits of fire lighters as I am not good at getting a fire going. THe KK is there mainly for some warm water and a morning and evening cuppa - I can face anything if I have those.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

I'm doing a major festival as a trader this summer. I'm already reeling from the thought of doing 5 x 16 hour days whilst camping; the idea of needing Immodium whilst doing so is making me want to turn tail & run away to sea!

  • Make yourself an alcohol stove, and take along a small bottle of meths/bio-ethanol, as an emergency standby.

Alternatively, get yourself a Lightweight gas stove.

What about the army type mini stoves that burn wee pellets? Hexi- something is it not?
