You can get 3.5% off ASDA shopping by using an ASDA pre-paid card (£96.50 for a £100 topup), so it seems that in reality, this is just another 0.5% cashback card.

Full regulation would be via the French authorities, it should have limited impact on a general consumer.

    Didn't say it was........
And a 6-8 week promo code is fairly irrelevant for long term use, I've got the reward card, but will charge deliveries to other cards over the summer, but will be then back to using it on 1st September to get free delivery over £100.

I'd be surprised if the £100 stays there for long, similarly to them having cut the 2p / litre discount on the Everyday card to try and move people to the reward card wouldn't surprise me if they start to cut benefits on the legacy cards to move custom to the new offering - in fact (cynically) this six week summer promo might be a great time to change the delivery thresholds on Reward/Everyday :- change now and a lot of people won't notice for 6 weeks.

sorry if i made it sound as though you were saying that this was an improvement. was in reality just having a go at Asda.

you are right, they've cut the fuel discount from 2p to 1p on the old card, and as Asda's fuel isnt quite the same quality as Shell or Sainsbury's it doesn't really amount to a saving long term so I dont really bother with it unless i'm close to my local Asda when needing to refuel.

The only reason I've still got the card is becuase of the unique ability to make payments via another CREDIT card via their online account manager.
