            congratulations
you could always say you dont want to drink so that you can 'remember the night' and take lots of embarrasing photos of everyoneThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50

Congratulations!! This has honestly been my worst nightmare since my dress was fitted around 8 months ago and is literally as fitted as fitted could be! I really hope your dress can be altered/does not need altering!!!0

Alcohol free wine from sainsbury's was great when I was pregnant (and extremely cheap). You could always have raided the kitchen cupboards and not noticed.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Hi, thanks for all the comments.
Regarding food, for the hen do I don't know as it's been organised as a suprise. We're away fri-sun in a converted barn type place, that's all I know. At the wedding, the main meal is a hot fork buffet so plenty of options and then bcon sardines/sausages/ pork pies later. I haven't felt sick yet but know theres no guarantee that won't change!
I'm sure they'll be able to do something with the dress. If not I'll just have to get a new one! I'm not stressing over that really, what will be will be and all that.
I think I'll plan to keep my glass full of something non alcoholic and if anyone offers to top up use variations of 'ive got a wine in the kitchen thanks', 'I've had enough thanks' , ' I want to be able to remember the weekend' 'you know what a lightweight I am' etc etc. There's a reasonable chance that some will suspect, but as long as noone makes a huge fuss it should be ok.
It's ironic as I only said to OH last week that we've almost got everything sorted and the 3 weeks between hen do and wedding would be "boring"!!!0

Picklepick - honeymoon is in UK thankfully! A tour of the Devon coast, can't wait!!0

Oh yeah with regards to drinks I highly recommend Becks Blue non alcoholic lager. If you like lager that is! Poured into a glass it looks and tastes like the real thing.
If you were gonna get morning sickness, you'd probably get it by the end of week 6, but it can hit you at any time.
I asked where you were going on honeymoon (if you are) because some countries don't have great medical care and it's something to be careful about. Make sure your travel insurance is up to date, pregnancy isn't classed as an illness it's classed as a natural event but best to double check. Altitude can make any morning sickness a lot worse too if you're flying.
EDIT: Ah ok, sorry we cross posted. If you book in with the midwife before then, don't forget to take your notes with you when you go!What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0

Re the antibiotics thing - I was given metronidazole for a tooth infection which meant I couldn't drink while i was taking them or for 2 days after the course finished. As it was the start of my holiday I was seriously unimpressed. So if you want an illness that's not too severe as an excuse, that might do it for you.
And congrats on the baby. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0

I personally would avoid drinking 'fake' drinks in the hope that people think you're drinking 'real' drinks. Because they may then buy you a couple of 'real' drinks not realising - especially as you're the hen. I think you're best off making an excuse as to why you cannot or don't want to drink.0

            Firstly- huge congratulations
secondly- I agree with Elsien. I had an infected widom tooth not last new year but the one before and was told not to drink on the antibiotics. If anyone says 'oh im sure it will be ok' you can just say you dont want to risk it as the last thing you need for the wedding and honeymoon is for this awful toothache to continue.0
