OP, no wonder he's your ex, you sound like a right bitter cow. Put your kid first and put some food in the bag.

If it was me, I'd pack a bag with bottles (or jars) wipes, nappies etc, just like you would if you went for a day out, and give it to dad with the baby!! I wouldn't expect anyone who only has the baby once a week for a few hours to have everything replicated at their house. If people "sweat" the small stuff, it's no flamin' wonder there are so many ex's at daggers drawn!!

Why wouldn't the Dad provide food for the child ? I read the OP as not saying she doesn't want to provide the food but that isn't it time for Dad to step up and make the effort to provide for the child while its with him. I'd assume as the child gets older they will spend more time with Dad so the amount of 'stuff' at Dads house will grow as the child does. Would you expect the OP to send a food hamper if the child stayed with Dad for a week in school holidays? of course not.. its time for Dad to find out what the child likes and whats suitable for a child of that age any caring parent would want to know these things surely?

I think it's different for a baby - if I'd decided that certain brands and certain foods were to be used as weaning foods, I'd provide those whether baby was staying with Dad or Granny or anyone else.

As baby gets a bit older and starts eating ordinary food, I'd expect Dad to provide meals and snacks. The parents need to communicate their expectations with each other.
  • TBH this whole debate is sad. It is important that you and your ex learn to co-operate in your post separated world for the sake of the child you are raising together. Small niggles like this will just establish stupid areas of conflict.

A high conflict parental environment or no contact with the dad/mum will screw up a child for life so do all you can to at least get along enough to raise the child rather than inflict that on the poor sod.

I think opinions should be judged of by their influences and effects, and if a man holds none that tend to make him less virtuous or more vicious, it may be concluded that he holds none that are dangerous; which I hope is the case with me.
