Trouble cancelling three uk contracts.

Anyone experienced the indian call centres hard sales when try to insist you wish to cancel a contract?

To what extent did they go?

Did they cancel?
Did they slam the phone down when did not want to agree to stay with them?
Did they when you asked to complain tell you there was no complaint dept?
If got through to ceo office rep complaints did they take you seriously and resolve or was it again more hard work?

Point is the ceo office of threeuk state well the call centres are in the business of sales, but seem to misunderstand that a resolute no should mean no and not lead to harassment if you do not agree.

I am sure this is not allowed under ofcom.

Anyone experience trouble cancelling please post away:D and any posts of advice are welcome as I think it is taken too lightly how manipulative and harassing, I describe it as akin to being mugged, they want your money and will not listen to you otherwise. Surely that is not sales but harassment when clearly not interested in staying.

I advise you to record all calls with threeuk for record it may come in handy like me. If people do not complain they will simply carry on with their bullying ways !!!!!:(

Now thats more concise but the other longer thread was part therapy and for record for me as well as hoping some real advise will come forward re the official ombudsman service. I am hoping three uk get fined.

OFCOM has no interest in consumer matters, they'll 'allow' everything. Customer retention is allowed, and whilst you may not like it, it remains a fact of life, especially when the goodies on offer to assist you in staying are increasing all the time.

If you dislike negotriating, and most Brits don;t - WRITE to them and cancel, requesting your PAC (if needed) at the same time. Your written cancellation is far more useful to you as you have a paper trail. In the unlikeley event of the cancellation not being actioned, you have proof positive of giving notice and can seek full refunds with impunity.

When I've cancelled, I've been equally forthright by answering each question with; "Can I have my PAC code please?" to every comment they make, until the number is supplied.

    It works every time.

Good advice and thanks buzby. But three push it past negotiating, if you dont agree to their so called new offer they slam the phone down on you as witnessed by the threeuk staff in central milton keynes. They asked the call centre to just do their job and cancel the contract as I had tried many times before and got no where, the result was the call centre slammed the phone down on them, so I got someone senior to do it and left the store with written confirmation they had done it signed etc...etc....

Trouble was the call centres then decided later it was till not cancelled and harassed me for money and made me have to cancel again.

I agree at this point I would have been better putting it in writing rather than rely on the proof of a call would stand up and be appreciated. Truth is they were not interested at being caught out apart from angry at me for doing it and just went on the attack when I said I will put it on you tube then. But my thread is long winded as was relating to cancelling bband took out as offer at time of phone contractas and as such threeuk lost my faith in the persistant hours of trying to cancel then to bill me anyway when already paid one month due to their stringing it out.

I agree in writing sent by special delivery would have been more forthright, but I did keep my emails.

Threeuk were just nasty rather than just trying to push a sale and surely there has to be some point at which the ombudsman steps in and says three you were over the top? Stop it or we will fine you?

Will see anyway and watchdog is another good move as media are interested in why threeuk took weeks to use the excuse to call the police on me when I suspect it was more intimidation hoping I woudl be carted off in a white coat, haha:rotfl:

As it was the police were lovely and shocked to find the email was sent weeks ago whilst after receiving it, threeuk were happy to send me to dca and make other threats and accusations as well, Deffo not caring haha:eek:

I must admit I have not come across such aggressive tactics with any other provider and in fact three have a problem of somehow not recording your calls to cancellations especially the ones that they slam down on you as in leave no imprint allegedly on the compute system. ODD as when said they were recorded three then went on the attack towards me.........why caught out three?

46 mins and I will have to wait up to 5 days for a investigation!
So Angry, they would not accept the cancellation even though it is within the time limit!

Might be better to get them to honour the contract they sold you, have a look at [URL=" https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4043723thread.[/URL]
  • THREEUK are hard work and we should be compensated for the stress they cause, but I am sure they would pull their socks up then. Only thing that seems to motivate them is selling and dosh certainly not helping their customers have a hastle free time with them.
