Returning a TV bought in Store

I bought a Samsung ES8000 11 days in a Curry store and I am not happy with this device.
It is impossible to get a good picture on this device where the colours are natural. And it's not just me there are many other owners who are very unhappy with the TV.
I went a few days and wanted to return the TV in store but they refused.
I gave the TV another chance but i cant accept to pay 1900£ for a TV and after 20 or more hours off calibration I am still not happy with this product.
What option do I have? I paid in full by credit card.

As far as i'm aware Currys return policy only applies to unopened goods so that's not an option.
You can 'reject' goods within 'reasonable' time for a full refund (11 days probably just within what is reasonable) under the Sales of Goods Act if they do not conform to contract. So it really depends on whether this applies here or whether the TV is merely not to your satisfaction.
Was there a demo TV in store or anything?0 -
there was no store demo and the sales person convinced me that the TV has to be calibrated. Which i have tried now for several hours. And LED screens look better in the bright store then in a darker lounge.0

After calibration Samsung ES8000 is a great performer. The color deviations are very low, gamma is fairly accurate, and color temperature is very close to our 6500 Kelvin target. The best thing is that we were able to reach these levels with very modest efforts and ES8000 reminds us of last year’s D8000 model that exhibited similar out-of-box levels but also very nice picture quality after calibration.
Picture preset: Movie
Backlight 9
Contrast 90
Brightness: 47
Sharpness: 10
Tint: G50/G50

Color Enhancer Off
Color Tone Warm2
Digital Noise Filter Off
Mpeg noise filter Off

LED Motion Plus On

Do you own that TV?
I have tried it and the colours look rubbish
Have you seen the pictures in that test? Do you think that the face colour looks good? Look at the red car and tie (pic 3 & 5) that is too much red.
Does Tony Starks face look natural to you? (first picture)
The Picture quality (clarity) is superb, but the colour quality is below zero.0 -

Oh dear.
If you don't like the pictures in the review and your tv matches this then it's likely this isn't a fault affecting your rights to return the tv.
You need to talk to the salesmen, maybe you can both agree to exchange it for a different model?0 -
don't forget that in those reviews, the picture is photographed with a camera, and being replicated on your monitor. It is not the same as having the picture come from the TV.
Also, they're going based on the colour sensors, and while the colours may not look how you like from the review's findings, that doesn't mean that they aren't natural....that being said, Panasonic plasmas tend, for me, to reproduce the most natural colours, but that's my personal preference.0 -
If you go bck to the store and complain, they will probably insist the TV is returned to Samsung for assessment - who may will determine the TV is working as designed."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
