I'm so sorry :( I lost a beloved ferret not long ago...I know, it's "ust a ferret"....but he was perfect, and irreplaceable, and I still miss him.

PixieDust, no matter what they are, our pets are never "just" - they are a part of our families, we love them, and when we lose them, it breaks our hearts. I'm sorry you lost your lovely little friend.

    Such lovely pictures.

There's nothing pathetic about your reactions, he's not just some dog, he's a beloved family member.

I feel for you, the grief for the loss of a beloved friend is no less than any other. I wish I had words of comfort, but there are none. Cherish your wonderful memories, close your eyes and feel his soft fur as you hugged him, and know, as you weep, that he is not suffering, and hopefully that will make your suffering easier to bear
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

Thinking of you WolfSong - I had to make the 'impossible decision' for an beloved elderly cat last year, and have just recently lost a much younger one, which was hit by a car on June 9th. Take care of yourself xxx
RIP Marmaduke 04.02.11, MIsty 09.06.12 and Rufus 19.7.24 very, very sadly missed xxx

I have just read through this post and it had me in tears. I am so sorry for your loss, I had to have my cat Buddy PTS last year after someone poisoned him and it is awful being there when they go.

I guess there is nothing that can be said to ease the pain, but at least you have your other 2 lovely dogs to help you through.

    xxx
