pregnancy after sterilisation??

My mums neighbour fell preganant 2 years after being sterilised and it resulted in an ectopic pregnancy (quite common obviously).
It CAN happen but is quite rare.

My DH has been snipped BUT if a miracle happened and i fell pregnant i`d be over the moon LOL!

Early 40s isn't that old to have a baby. At 35 I was one of the youngest at my antenatal classes and wouldnt bat an eyelid if a friend in their early 40s told me they were pregnant. Like others have said, maybe the baby is planned. Maybe it takes them a long time to get pregnant.
Guess I am saying, mind your own! ;-)

To be honest, it is much much likely that the pregnancy is the result of IVF than getting pregnant at her age after being sterilised. There is no need of freeting. It will be obvious how she feels about it from her behaviour. In any case, she still had the option of termination, or to accept and start looking forward to being a mum again. It is overall much more likely that she is happy or over the moon about it than the other way round.
