Leaving Three
I have been trying to cancel my contract (due to being told lies about tethering) phone not received yet, spent over 5 hours on the phone to India cancellation woman refused to accept my cancellation, my question is;
Can I cancel in store, as I was offered the contract on the phone, (they phoned me)?

You spent 5 hours on a call to cancel? I know they are problematic but thats just daft. I'm sure you can cancel in store as its all the same company0

My record is three hours and yes the indian call centres with three can totally ignore the store staff in the uk even, claiming to not find you on the system and with repeated phones slamming down on you if you do not agree with them to stay a customer.
Cancellations with three is in the business of pushy sales it would appear from my experience and finding any stupid excuse as to why a cancellation I feel does not show on that agents time line !!!!!
If they will not let you cancel, tell the store and use the store phone go through security and do it there, if they still say no introduce the store staff and ask them to speak on your behalf and leave the store with a note stating they recognise why you went in and to do what and get it signed.Also any calls to threeuk should be recorded as its amazing that prior calls do not show on the system I was told by india, funny enough even those made by threeuk store staff that funny enough showed on the uk system, haha0 -
You have to be very firm and resolute, state simply that you wish to cancel your contract, that you don't wish to answer any of their questions or hear any alternatives, you want to cancel full stop.
Incidentally though what is the tethering issue that has frustrated you?0 -
I agree you have to be firm, but I tried that and recorded them, they will talk over you verbally appear frustrated and then slam the phone down on you. I am not saying all staff do the same, but what are the chances of one person like me witnessing it a few times to then threeuk own staff get the same treatment trying to help me on a different day?
As long as we record calls if things get out of hand you have them for back up as can use them as proof of your treatment. Three dont like being told you recorded them at it, wonder why?0
