Doubt it. I always send it in bubble wrapped envelopes and more bubble wrap if the item is valuable.
I get the impression I come across really naive or gulliable in my listings, that's the only thing I can think of.
Thanks again for the information CROWQUEEN. You have helped me so much. I will adjust my statement at the bottom of a listing. Cheers.
I was thinking more of how you label? Could the labels be coming off?0 -

I write on the packet in a black parmanent marker.
Just out of interest, say I bought something and they sent it normal post. If I lied and said I have not received it, would RM be able to find out? As people say eBay/PayPal always sides with the buyer, so you could get away with it right? I guess someone could do this every couple of months and get stuff for free if they got a refund from the buyer. Hmmmmm.0 -

They occassionally investigate by sending the (non)recipient a form to fill in to confirm non receipt.0 -
If possible you are better off printing the address and cellotaping over it, it's clearer to read, won't get wet and smudge (and won't peel off if cellotaped).
Seal the jiffy bag flaps shut with cellotape as well. Always worth checking the delivery office (even if the buyer says they have and some can't be bothered but will say they did) and worth putting a small returns address on the back, not many eBay INRs actually come back but you never know your luck.
Ironically the parcels that get returned, either due to incorrect address or not collected, are the ones where the customer hasn't asked where their item is.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
LOL, thats the truth! I still have a couple of orders here safely put to one side that were returned to me - I've contacted the buyers several times and still no responses, queries or requests for refunds!!Ironically the parcels that get returned, either due to incorrect address or not collected, are the ones where the customer hasn't asked where their item is.0 -
Same as crowqueen - it 2 weeks max for me (so 10 working days). I then refund. It can be hard getting the buyer to even accept that.
I contact Royal mail after 15 working days have passed.
You are right that people can say they havent recieved when they have. Royal Mail sometimes ask the buyer to confirm non-receipt - but thats as far as it goes.0 -

No. One was like a razor and 3 blades. One was a cream. One was a little bag.
The cream and the little bag have now miraculously been delivered, one of them at 1am in the morning. How kooky.
PS. Soolin and Crowqueen and a few others, you are both so clever. How do you know all this stuff? Is there a manual little old me can read?0 -
