. You should be directed to Citizens Advice or Trading Standards.
Yes sorry Consumer Direct has been renamed Citizens Advice consumer service but I think the number stayed the same (08454 04 05 06.) and the service should be pretty much the same just charity funded now.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
In my case a local company was advertising BOGOF deals on its website with no conditions about when they could be used other than an expiry date. When handing them over, they were refused because it was a weekend and they claimed they were only valid on week days, something not stated anywhere. Maybe Trading Standards take things like this more seriously than terms on a seller's page on ebay but with Councils there tends to be regional variations in how they operate.I suspect an egregious violation would probably have been noted. What was it actually about?
As the seller is a VAT registered individual/company I think they are still worth reporting.0 -
Sorted. Crazy how Paypal can sort it out but eBay can't ....
"We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your favour.
You have indicated that a partial refund of 8.72 GBP would be satisfactory.
We were able to recover 8.72 GBP, and this amount has been credited to you.
Please allow 5 working days for this adjustment to be posted."
Shame on the seller really trying to ignore their legal obligations.0
